Cleanliness and variety of activities
I REALLY appreciate Christy (spelling?) opening up the YMCA at 5 a.m. every week day and working the front desk. I don't know if she is a volunteer or paid staff but I do appreciate her dedication.
The lifeguard staff is the finest around. I so appreciate the lifeguard staff's dependability and having the pool open at 5 a.m.. Every lifeguard is kind and courteous, professional and observant. I am so grateful for the lifeguard staff. Hood County YMCA has a stellar pool. It is maintained beautifully. It is neat and clean. FIVE STARS all around. Thank you, Hood County lifeguards!!!!
Hood County YMCA is the CLEANEST YMCA I have visited. The WOMAN bathroom and locker room are immaculate. The cleaning staff is exceptional in skill and professionalism. Thank you, Hood County Cleaning Staff. Your efforts are noted and it makes a big difference.

I have not participated in any of the programs yet but I have enjoyed the facility and it’s atmosphere.
I mostly use the water aerobics classes as I have hip and joint issues. This program is excellent. I like both Judy and Christy's classes - and they are both different.
I have brought several friends who now also attend.
i have used the walking circuit upstairs and some of the machines.
i tried the dancing classes but the square dancing moved to a far off location. The ballroom dancing - the instructor was good but I was told when I signed up that I didn't need a partner. However, it turned out to be a couples' class so I did not continue. I know how to ballroom dance but it isn't fun doing it alone.
Nice pool, family centered, many machines, multiple stair masters. Lots for everyone.

Great teachers! They are knowledgeable and monitor the students for health and safety.
There are so many things to choose from at the Y but honestly we only use the track and gym right now. We enjoy the staff, so friendly and we love the facility itself!! So blessed to have the Y here in Granbury!
I love the indoor pool for lap swim and I also do circuit weights. Generally I'm able to do my workouts without waiting a long time for a specific machine.
Chair yoga and pickleball.
This YMCA is always clean. It is larger than other YMCA when it comes to weight lifting, which makes it easier to get a great workout in.!
Love the water Aerobics, Pilates and Zumba classes as well as the walking track!
There are activities for all ages and fitness levels. The activity schedules vary so most can find a time that is convenient for their needs. From my experience, the instructors are well qualified and make the classes fun as well as beneficial.
