Good equipment
Friendly people
Plenty of parking
There are some very nice people at the Y. Whether a member of the staff, or another client, everyone helps everyone else.
Welcoming atmosphere. The classes are challenging.
I like to use the swimmimg pool, and the friendliness of the staff!
The Ryan Y is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The precautions they take to ensure the facility and equipment are germ free goes above and beyond the requirements for beating COVAID. All of the equipment is up to date and in good working order, and when something is broken they get it repaired as quick as they can. And the people who work out at the Ryan Y are friendly and courteous and seem to have a good time being around each other. The above is just some of the reasons my wife and I enjoy working out at the Ryan Y. I do have two recommendations that would make the Ryan Y even more inviting as a place to exercise. In an effort to make the facility safe during COVAID, all of the chairs have been removed from the areas outside the workout space. While I understand the reasoning, it would make more sense to leave some of the furniture in place, just space it out 6 ft apart. I understand not wanting people to gather as they once did prior to COVAID in these spaces, but for couples like my wife and I, who finish working out at different times, it would give my wife a place to sit and wait on me to finish, without taking up a bicycle or other piece of equipment to sit on while she waits. Also, the water fountains need to be operational. I understand that it takes more effort to ensure the fountains are clean, but water is necessary when working out. I go through my bottle of water before I am finished working out, and currently there is no place for me to refill it with cold water. I also belong to CERA, another workout facility in Ft Worth, since they have racquetball courts, and the RYAN Y, or for that matter, most YMCAs no longer have, (with the exception of the downtown Y, and who wants to drive downtown to play racquetball?). CERA even takes your temperature before allowing entry, and require masks, etc. But they have arranged the seating in the lobby area to be 6 ft apart so you still have an area to sit and wait if you finish working out before your spouse. And all of their water fountains are operational, just cleaned on a more frequent basis than before COVAID. Be that as it may, I still rate the Ryan Y a 10, and look forward to going there later today to workout with my wife. So keep up the good work Ryan Y staff, but seriously consider putting back some chairs for those waiting on someone to finish working out, and turn on the water fountains so we can get the necessary water we need. Thanks for all your hard work to keep us safe!
The personal workout is really my only interest, now, It's great. I might be interest in swimming, but I need to rebuild my strength and breathing capacity and the locker facility is quite limited for bathing and changing. Now everything is good.
Familiarity, convenience, friendly staff.
Love Julie and the water aerobics. Would really like a third class.
Facilities are clean, classes meet needs, and staff are friendly
Variety and price
The programs were great. I used the silver sneekers groops and got alot out of it
You offer a variety of classes and equipment for us to choose and workout on =}
They’re great!
Small facility, friendly staff and members, easy to talk to staff and instructors since there are less people, a welcoming atmosphere- NOT snobby.
The indoor pool is awesome. You know I had never before met the requirements for my Apple Watch to congratulate me until I attended your aquatic class. I just hate that Joshua Station Y is not able to have aquatic classes. I love the instructor she made it a pleasant experience.
All the variety options for a good workout
I've been in there and I like it very much but sometimes I have trouble to find somebody that can help me I'm just saying thank you very much still your place 2 Go
I use the indoor pool exclusively and love t for lap swim.
I liked the coach from cycle and y-warrior, very good trainers and very friendly. But would prefer to have warrior inside when is too hot outside.
The people on the front desk are very nice also.
Really like the Body Flow classes, and a huge fan of the exercise machines and the weight area. And the level of cleaning and sanitizing everything in this Covid pandemic is to be applauded!
There's programming for the whole family!
Nice facility and knowledgeable people running it .
Love the Pilates and yoga classes with Cathy.
Build confidence in baby girl swimming!
My instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend the YMCA for swimming lessons.
Zumba ROCKS! I take Michelle’s, Akiko’s, and John’s classes regularly!
I love the classes!
diversified and availability..FYI.. I am 89. Began, and continue to like the programs since 1953 when stationed at CAFB. My buddies and I worked out at the downtown facility.. Entered from the south and worked out in the basement. Love how the Ryan continues to add to the "Y" programs.
I love the brightness of the facility and the family friendly atmosphere. The windows allow lots of natural light to come in, the staff and membership are friendly, the equipment and classes (when I was able to do those) are excellent. And I love my personal trainer Stephanie Kelley. She's fantastic.
