I need to pay attention to the Y emails so I dont miss any important stuff, but this feels like spam now.
I normally swim at the Boynton Beach YMCA. I decided to try the Boca YMCA just for a change. First of all it is much further for me to drive to the Boca location. I have to take the Florida turnpike at 7:15 in the morning the traffic is pretty heavy. When I visited the Boca location I thought the locker rooms were nice and clean a much more user-friendly. The lobby was much nicer than the Boynton Beach location, and it was nice to see that they offer a vending machine. When I went to get into the water at the Boca location, I was not aware that it was Deepwater. I am only 5 feet one, so it was difficult for me to keep my head above water. At least I can say that I have tried the Boca YMCA, but because of location, I will continue to do my water aerobics at the Boynton Beach YMCA. I do have to say the instructor that was doing the class that Tuesday morning was an excellent instructor.
I feel like I have a second "family"
I love the YMCA. It's a clean gym with kind and understanding folks. The hardest part for me is to take the first (physical) step to the Y. Once that step is taken, I don't wanna leave until I feel the burn (cliche as that sounds)
I enjoy the Y for the many options to improve and maintain my health. Plus, the healthy, positive, friendly and diverse culture is a wonderful environment to be in. Thank you.
Family oriented, kids activities
I like the friendliness of staff and instructors. The environment is safe and clean. It’s affordable and the class schedules fit into my schedule.
I love that people make you feel like family but always respect your decisions.
All of the cardio and weight equipment I could ever want (all in great condition), classes galore, and child care!
Friendly instructors who make working out fun.
Kind professionals , good quality, good equipment.. good for kids.. family programs..
I like the variety of activities, including free weights, machines, classes, lap pool, etc.
We like the people and the classes at the YMCA. We signed up at this YMCA 25 years ago!!!
I guess this shows how happy we are.
Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere
good classes with god instructors
I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the ease with which we could start using all of the facilities and services.
The switch from a boot camp style workout Tuesday morning at 5:45am to whatever you would call it now is disappointing. I was under the impression that the Y was looking to compete with other alternatives in this space and looking to attract/retain young adults but the offerings are lacking. Thursday's class is still good but the complexity of the exercises at each station detracts from the overall experience (creates too much downtime between exercises trying to set up for or decipher the instructions), keep it simple. I think that it is important that class begins right at 5:45am and ends at 6:40am, allowing for 5 minutes of cool down. too often class is still going at 6:45, even 6:50 and many of us are on a tight schedule and need to get out of there.
This Y has improved very much over past year. Customer Service at front desk has improved (Emily Gates in particular). Great addition has been the My Zone small classes. Spin class room still missing mirrors and gloomy room. Was better before Reno.
Please remember that members arriving before 9am pay the same membership as those who arrive after 9. It is important to have competent staff on duty so that we are not told to wait til nine to have AC adjusted etc.

I like everything about the Y .
I'm not sure why you want to hear about what I like about my experience. Wouldn't you want to hear about what I don't like so you can improve those things? I'll tell you both. I like the friendly and helpful staff and the cleanliness of the facilities. I like the custodians as well but I don't like that they clean the mens locker room already at like 9pm when you close at 10. I and many other men feel guilty and bad using the showers and walking on their freshly mopped floor trying to get around. I understand they want to finish cleaning so they can leave at 10 but the gym is still open for use! They also like to turn off the steam room already around 9:30. Some people only come for the steam room and can only come to the gym from 9-10pm due to their busy schedules. I understand that the staff works hard and appreciate it but is there any chance that the hours on any day can be extended? 5:30 is not early enough for many people. Even 15 minutes earlier would be a big help. Also, I keep the sabbath until nightfall on saturday so I can never come to the YMCA until theyre already closed and then on sunday people need to wait till 7am to go in? and then close again early on sunday? There must be something we can do to extend hours any day somehow. Also, I like to walk to the park in the back on saturdays with my daughter and cant walk through the building because of the electric doors that we cant use on the sabbath but the park has been closed off from entry in the back. Can this be fixed? Also, I work in a funeral home and we use towels to clean bodies and wash them with detergent in our washing machines and they smell like bodies after because we dont use any extra scented stuff. The towels at the YMCA smell exactly like these towels used for dead bodies. I really believe that good smelling towels will go a long long way with members. I dont know the cost but it cant be too much to add the good smelling beads to the towel wash. Thank you.
I feel like the Y is a big family! If I’m not at Spin clas everyone is texting me where were you? Kathy is AWESOME! And I’ve been taking Dani’s core class too.
Everything is in place and clean staff is a wonderful bunch of people and you got the equipment I like to use
Clean facility, friendly staff, great classes and the child watch program is an absolute life saver.
i go to the silver fit class and our instructor Nancy is the greatest. Love this class.
Clean wholesome workout environment.
Nice friendly clean
Thank you for this opportunity.
I would like to (personally) hear different music than what is currently available...something softer than the loud rock and roll music played at all times in the treadmill area.
It would be great if the treadmill area either had more fan and/or be set at a cooler temp
at the window treadmills.
I would appreciate the NO CELL PHONE USE become effective.
It would be nice if more staff would say hello as they see you...and if more staff would be trained
by Steve to follow in his warm hearted hellos to one and all.
The front desk is always there for a Hello - and always helpful...others should follow suit.
Lots of classes an opportunity to get involved and stay on track

We get to enjoy a variety of activities as a family and love making new friends.
