Sylvan taught my son to read 25 years ago when Montesorri would not because 'he was not ready'. We are sending his daughter to help with her reading since she was confused when the school was teaching Spanish and English at the same time...not good. I believe more tutors are needed since only one is trying to keep up with all the students that show up. Hopefully this is only temporary.

We love the staff and the attention they give to our son. He is making a lot of progress. We have even gotten support in a 504 meeting-which felt above and beyond! The only down side to the Bastrop location is that it is small & shared with other businesses and not as set up (such as books/desks/computers) as the Kyle location.
My 12 year old raised her 6 weeks grade from a C to a B after just a couple months of attending Sylvan!

Thr director Mrs. Hailee Turner has been so helpful in getting my daughter on the path to where she needs to be in her learning. She was so far behind amd is catching up quickly. And her confidence has built up so well. Hailee really worked with us to get my daughter into the program and I will forever be grateful to her!!

Sylvan has been a great experience for our daughter. It has taught her new skills and built her confidence. Each teacher really does take an individual approach with your child each time they come in for a session. Sylvan instructors seem to enjoy their jobs and definitely want your child to do well and feel confident. They are great about providing ongoing feedback and making adjustments to the planned curriculum based on how your student is progressing. Our daughter is excited to go each week. We highly recommend Sylvan and their instructors!
We have been to 2 different math specific tutoring businesses before, we've also hired personal tutors to come to our home for math and reading, none have been as successful as Sylvan so far. We've been coming here for about 3 months and all I can say is, so far so good.
The check ins and assessments every 30 days are unbelievably helpful and provide real peace of mind that progress is being made, everyone is on the same page with regard to the program, and the 2-way feedback is valuable and appreciated.
Our son's confidence has really grown this school year already as a result of Sylvan and he's really seeing the value and fun in working hard and receiving better grades.
We're not at our goal yet, but I feel we will get there and am impressed enough that I will probably bring my straight A high schooler here to utilize Sylvan's ACT and SAT test prep program.
Sylvan has very caring personnel. They are truly in the business of helping children succeed regardless of age, background, or financial resources. This program is excellent and the staff are true professionals. I also loved the way they try to schedule the child's sessions that best fits that child's needs. The program is very flexible. It's designed for real families with real life responsibilities. It's not "mechanized" at all. Above all, what they do for a child's self-esteem, learning power, and future is beyond words. I'm glad I started to invest for my grandchild thru the Sylvan Program and will continue to do so.
