my daughter goes to the before and after school care at pinellas central elem, couch paige is my favoirte, always attentive and makes sure my daughter is happy. shes very understanding loving and helpful. also love couch erin adn megan, theres also a couple more and sophia always comes home with a smile on her face from them!
In school activities that the kids can participate in. The teachers are very active with the parents and family. I always know where my child stands in the classroom academically and socially.
I’ve been using the beige and after care program for about 4 years now and even if the same were changed out the customer service and care for not my daughter but the kids as a whole always remained the same.
I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Speer ymca preschool. We have been a part of the Speer family for years. The staff is amazing. They care about all of the students and the students well being. I love how both of the Directors know each child and family by name. They are always very reassuring and welcoming. I couldn’t recommend a better preschool!

This school gives children more confidence when asking questions, engage in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers.
The teachers, especially Ms. Brenda, are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within your child – their good behaviors and achievements; and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner.

I love the Les Mills classes at the Y, but the Kid Zone weekday staff at Bardmoor Y is absolutely amazing!! I couldn't come to the gym at all without the ability to trust that my kids are in good hands. I absolutely love those ladies!
I love the opportunity to do weight lifting with a trainer. I work with Ally and she is fantastic. I've recommended the weight training sessions to a friend who has already signed up. It's a great value and so helpful to me in reaching my goals!! It also makes the weight lifting area more accessible to someone like me who would have been way too intimidated to try anything on my own.
You didn't ask, but one thing I would change are the black mats (stored by the windows). They are hard (impossible?) to clean after use. It feels like they are starting to crumble apart if you try to wipe them down. It would be nice to have some new mats that can actually be cleaned after use.

Friendly staff & good variety of classes
I continue to enjoy working out with my fabulous trainer, Sue. She is upbeat, knowledgeable and supportive.
I also enjoy the group classes I have attended. The instructors are excellent.
The other clients I have interacted with have been friendly, as well, regardless of age.
The Jim and Heather Gills Y is a great place to be!
I like the group exercise classes. As an active older adult, the classes keep me moving, and the group adds a social aspect.
