Love my personal trainer Sue Harvey
I have been a member of the YMCA for 4 years. I workout 5 or more days per week. I worked out with Trainer Debbie for several years who always encouraged me to apply for employment at the YMCA. I participate in Silver Sneakers classes and also use the fitness center 5 or more days per week. As a Master yoga teacher since 2003, I love the diversity of classes offered at the YMCA. Front Desk associates are always welcoming and helpful. Love this YMCA and that it is so close to home.....available whenever my schedule changes. Thank you !

The staff is so friendly and my kids love the kidzone! It’s great being able to workout and know that my kids are being taken care and they are having fun too!
I love the Speer YMCA! The class schedule works great. I’m so happy to have BodyPump at 8am and still be able to make it to work on time. There’s a lot of variety which I appreciate. The facility is still clean.

My favorite are the classes provided. I attend the barre class by Patty on Weds and Fri and the body combat with Eilen on Tues and Thurs. My daughter attends dance class on Tuesdays with Zoe. We also use the pool sometimes. It's a fantastic place for families.
I enjoy the diversity and large number of classes offered. My two wishes for the Gills YMCA - add Step classes to the schedule M,W,F at 9:00am or a M,W,F 9:00am Spin class. I would love to be able to do a 9:00am heavy cardio class and them move right into 10:00am Body Pump. I know there are 9:00am Sh'Bam / LaBlast / Zumba classes, but they just don't get my heart rate up high enough. Mostly because I don't know the routines and spend time trying to follow the steps and not working hard enough.

They are educational. Jeff your personal trainer is very knowledgeable and helpful! He knows a lot about nutrition and makes very helpful suggestions on books. He takes his time to explain everything! I feel being in the medical field that he should give talks on what he knows! He would benefit many. This is a great place and I love going here state of the art equipment and all staff is helpful and go out of their way for everyone!
