I do chair yoga at my Y and when we started we had it two days a week and then were cut down to one day and our teacher is so good that more and more people are coming and sometimes I think it is just too many. We have had in the high twenties on most Tuesdays. We really could use another day!!
GREAT GROUP exercise for seniors!
There is something for everyone. I love the variety of classes. I'm excited to take the Cardio LIte class tomorrow. I've taken other cardio classes at the Y and as a 79 year old woman, I felt they moved too fast. However I still wanted the cardio so I'm hoping the Cardio Lite class will provide the cardio but at a slightly slower pace.

Love the exercise classes.
Pickleball, the sauna, and a great work out area. Would like to see coat hooks in the weight area. Also need a new traditional weighted scale by the locker rooms as it is very old and not accurate. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, am I eligible for a membership discount?
Getting fit, getting exercise, having fun and connecting/making new friends. I love water fitness class, Silver Sneakers class and Tai Chi.
Personnel. Quality equipment.
Trainer (Crystal) is very supportive and knowledgeable. She helps with modifications as needed and is ALWAYS cheerful and ready to adapt as needed.
I like to do the shallow pool water exercises because it doesn’t put a lot of stress on my back and knees and it’s fun
I especially enjoy the gym!! I plan on signing up for chair yoga in the near future.

Silver Sneakers Monday and Wednesday with Holly. Would like to go Friday's but instructor too fast. Holly has the pulse of seniors. She is great!!
I like the strength training classes and water aerobics. I’m not one the necessarily enjoys working out alone. I like the motivation!
I like water aerobics, not only for the exercise, but also for the friends that you meet. We are like a family, showing true concern and companionship for each other.

Well, so far I’ve only done chair yoga but I have met a lot of like-minded people there and it’s a fun class and a good stretch. Lauren is a great instructor! I like that there is such a variety of ages that use the Y. I love seeing the little kids having fun. I am always greeted by friendly faces. The facilities are clean and well lighted. I may eventually try some other classes. I always enjoyed Zumba and line dancing but some of the classes don’t fit with my schedule.
