I like the programs for seniors. I am glad that there are classes that I can do to stay active and not high impact.

It is so nice having the kids club so that my little guys can play with friends while I get in a workout. Our oldest is also planning to participate in youth basketball this winter!

Variety, something for all ages.
Programs are not back to pre-covid workout sessions. I only attend Boot Camp because this is the only one that interests me at this time. I would attend more if you offered better programs. I liked Body Sculping - a low impact that toned the whole body. Also a class that is a easier type of step aerobics (not using the step), this was for older active adults at 8:30 led by Mary Ann. I loved this class and it was cardio.
I think you have forgotten about older active adults, I am not ready for silversneaker classes but would like a more challenge.
I wish to stress that before I even joined the YMCA I read the YMCA Values, Mission Statement and core purpose of the YMCA. I was impressed so do not change. The YMCA's core purpose is to better the community in all ways, income levels, mentally, physically and to make new friends. The free coffee helps to entise people to communicate with each other and make new friends. The workout rooms are more on the quite side rather than 1 giant room where the noise factor is great. The classes are constantely changing simply because of different circumstanses that arise over time but we should never give up on making the quality of our lives better. Our mental and physical health are the single most important thing in our lives and sould be our major number one concern. I have learned so very much since I have attended the ME Lyons YMCA about my mental and physical health that one does not learn from other sources. This is from attending classes, working out, sitting down and having conversation with other people but I have not learned all there is to learn. There is always much much more ways to learn, prosper and grow as a human being. Thank you for all that you do. Tom Last name removed
