I love being able to play basketball and use the steam room. The weight room and cardio equipment are excellent and they gym is never so busy that you have to wait for equipment to free up like you do at other gyms. I highly recommend the YMCA.

Friendly and helpful staff. I enjoy the water deep and shallow water workouts and lane swimming. Then relax in sauna. Perfect! I’m recently retired and plan to use the Y to improve strength, balance and cardio health.
I liked both Kirk and Nancy, the location, and the time of the swimming lessons.
Instructor Nate was top notch--very developmentally appropriate with s group of preschoolers... fine-tuned the lesson (through variable use of float barbells, level of assistance) to meet nuances in swimming ability across kids

I think the programs are good for the kids. One thing I would look at changing is limiting or eliminating allowing people to choose teams together. It has been my experience with my 9 year old that there is one really good team and the rest are just average at best. It makes for a long season for the kids if they get beat by 20 points every game
All the instructors are friendly - will ask if you're new to a class (especially yoga, pilates & strength training) if you need any modifications and remind during the classes to do your own pace
I ENJOY AND BENEFIT FROM THE HEALTH ASPECTS OF THE YMCA---HOWEVER---WHAT I LIKE MOST IS THE CAMARADERIE AND FEELING OF COMMUNITY!!!

The instructors and all the friends I have made! Having classes at 8:30 am is the best. That way you can exercise and still have the rest of the day to do other things.

I have Mary Ann St. John for 3 of the 4 classes I take. She is a great instructor and I enjoy her classes very much. It is always a challenging workout which is why I come to class. I also enjoy my Friday morning strength class with Julie. She is a very good instructor and gives alternatives moves for people who might have difficulty with the more demanding moves. I think the Y is fortunate to have instructors of this caliber and dedication. I also like my classmates. They are a very friendly bunch.
My son has gradually improved every year. The instructors are knowledgeable and patient. For the most part, classes are offered at hours that are family friendly. For example, our swim class was at 7:10 which allowed us to eat together as a family and get homework done before class.
