The moning programs during the week
I’ve only recently begun to participate. I like the facilities, the pools, the cleanliness. And the staff has been very helpful and welcoming. The pickleball group is great fun and also helpful and welcoming. I plan to use the Y a lot this winter!
Variety of activities. Convenient location.
I love the water aerobics
The pool area has been way too cold as well as the water. It is extremely uncomfortable. Has not been a very pleasant experience lately. I don't understand why the heating has not been fixed.
The friendliness of staff and other members.
Nice warm pool, great facilities, nice community.
all the people and instructors are so friendly, lot of access to different classes
I like the fitness facilities.
Availability
Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere
Group classes
I like the number and variety of yoga classes offered every week. This is the single reason I come to the Y.
I like all the programs and they are very well put together and helpful in everyway I can make my schedule knowing ahead of time about the activities.
Friendly people everywhere! Great instructors!
I only recently came back to the Y after suspending our membership during the pandemic but I've always appreciated that it is a Christian org that supports families in a variety of ways. I have taken boot camp classes and my wife loves the Yoga classes. We work out in the gym throughout the week. Love the pool in the summer. I really love the sauna but it does seem to get broken regularly. Youth sports are great also. There is child care available and in fact both of my kids did pre-school at the Y. It's a model for how community groups can invest in people, improve and invigorate the lives of a community. It shows a model of Christianity in action. Thank you.
The location and the cleanliness of the building. Also all the equipment to use.
I love the community at Gamble Nippert and we have been members for years. I do wish you would extend Sunday Hours. The building is open for swim teams before and after hours so I don't know why you couldn't keep the doors open for a few more hours to give members flexibility.
being able to swim all year long
I just started my 6 year old in the swim lessons on Sundays. This lesson was very well run- the kids introduced themselves to each other which seemed like it went a long way to their helping each other and learning together, even when it wasn’t their turn to swim guided by the instructor. The class size was small enough that the teacher gave individual attention and things felt safe, especially with the lifeguard present and watching attentively. The activities they did seemed at the just right level for my child, and they did similar activities more than once- and I could see my child get better from the beginning of the lesson compared to the end.
Kind and attentive staff.
Renovation of fitness floor was great. Diversity of programming
Love the water exercise! Especially with music. I wish there were more classes. There is obviously a great interest as all the classes are usually full. Getting back a class on Saturday would be wonderful!
I also appreciate any group class that is easy on the joints but gets the heart rate up.
YMCA offer lots of different programs for children and adults.
Great staff, lots of kids programming.
Everything is good
