Aquatic classes are lovely. The dressing rooms need updating , but that’s why I donated to the campaign! I’ve used the gym equipment, and it’s good.
Everyone is just nice and easy to talk to.
I swim and it’s very enjoyable at the Y.
A good lap.pool
The variety of activities
I enjoy the variety of classes that are available to seniors both in the water and the workout exercises. The friendliness of the staff and the trainers and instructors.
The Y provides programs and activity for everyone!!!
I like the fact that there are two pools available and classes in the pools at different times the free coffee in the morning the steam room and saw in the men's room.
early morning classes; less busy than downtown; more laid back; I enjoy the "old guys" who come work out then sit around and drink coffee and talk - it's great to feel like part of the same community. The striping of the pickleball courts - what an unmitigated disaster. It's disappointing that the "measure twice, cut once" adage wasn't followed and that the consequences have been so significant. And the re-orientation of them - so bizarre - any PB player could have told you that changing the orientation wasn't going to work. Further, it's REALLY disappointing that the Y chose to disallow any PB playing instead of leaving it to the discretion/judgment of the PB players. We were playing regularly on Fridays at 0515 - now we are playing elsewhere because the decision makers decided to make it impossible to play at all pending whatever the fix is to the problem.
Have programs for seniors in the morning.
Like the classes devoted to seniors. Good trainers. Friendly staff. Enjoy my workouts in gym. Wife and I took live strong class and joined the Y immediately after graduating from that class last fall. Have been coming since then.
Immunity outreach, inclusive membership. Equipment. Clean workout area
We really enjoy the relationships we've made with other members and staff. We particularly appreciate our trainer, Mike, who has worked with my husband who has disabilities and myself. He is helping us achieve our fitness goals. My husband's cardiologist noted improvement in his condition as a result of getting regular exercise.
Classes are very structured and easy to follow. All ages can get somedthing
I like the low impact classes like HydroFit, spin, BodyBalance, and I love love love soundbaths on Tuesdays and Thursdays!!
I primarily go to spin class and use the weight machines.
I love that it is family friendly, no additional cost classes, and many class times. I just feel comfortable at the Y unlike other gyms.
I have Parkinson and need to gain strength and agility. I invited Michael to work personally with me twice a week for 60 sessions. I experienced a great improvement in my body and mind in strength and steadiness and agility. I think the Hamilton Y is a great place to increase in quality health.
Classes after 5:30
I love the fact that I have so many activities to choose from.
Clean and convenient to home for 5 am workouts
The Senior classes offered are wonderful.
I like that there is a basketball court and free weights. I enjoy warming up by shooting hoops and then getting a strength workout in.
In recent years, I have been using North River more often due to downtown traffic and parking.
Variety!
Love the gym. I would request that you put the plate racks back in. It is very difficult to find plates and you have to go station to station to find what you are looking for. So inconvenient. Thanks.
Basketball for kids
Wide variety
There is a good variety of classes and times available. The equipment is always clean and working well

I love the senior exercise classes
