Because of the location
The staff are friendly. The facilities are clean. There’s also alot of activities that are offered for the members. The only suggestion that I would add is to make the pickle ball area available for beginners. Half of the gym should be for those that want to learn the game. Instead, the experienced players take all the gym area and are intimidating and sometimes RUDE.
Group classes
My wife and I work out at this YMCA 4-5 times a week. It is in a great location with access to running trails. It has a large heated pool with areas for lap swimming, adult water workouts and areas for children. It offers numerous group activities, one of which is the breast cancer survivorship workout class which my wife attends. It is a great place to meet and socialize with people. The staff is always willing to help when needed. One important reason why we initially chose the Y is because the program is offered for free in some Medicare plans.
Clean and well managed gym.
Because it more than a GYM it’s a place where you build friendships a place where you, can laugh 😆 out loud and feel good once you, had worked out…..And the Staff is Amazing at the YMCA.
Please open the pool for swimming at 5:00 am, not 5:30. Many of the early morning swimmers work so being able to swim at 5:00 am or shortly thereafter is a huge help. It will also spread out the early morning crunch of swimmers thereby reducing lane occupancy.
Very clean and friendly place. They have a variety of classes and there’s always employees around to help if you need it.
Love that they have pickleball 5 days a week!
The Y has so many ways to improve your health and fitness, it’s a great place to make friends and the staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and supportive.

The employees at Northwest Y as well as the Westchase Y are phenomenal. Always friendly, always helpful very experienced trainers and teachers. It is a joy to go to these two locations.
Great to know that this location is exclusive for adults and the young working force, especially within the downtown workforce arena and for mature and or retired adults within the community! Truly feel there should be more locations like this!
Great selection of equipment and lots of experienced trainers. Trainers are willing to answer questions and give helpful tips. Receptions desk are friendly and helpful.
