The large variety
Love the program!
Allow kids to learn, have fun and develop social skills close to home.
I prefer the camp at the actual Y over the one at Chocachatti. that one is not very put together and no one ever seems to know what’s going on but I still prefer the Y over any other programs
The staff is incredible! My girls enjoy all the new friends they have created! It also gives them time to complete their homework by the time I am able to pick them up!
My children had a great summer. Carmen and the staff at Pine Grove was very tentive with my daughter as she is growning and becoming self conscious about herself. They made her feel loved and welcomed.Thank you!
My kids loved how interactive the staff was. They had something to look forward to everyday and they loved it!
Lots of activities for the children to participate in.
Age appropriate, fun, wonderful supervision, fantastic environment!
The staff treats my children like family. They love on them and push them to do better, all at the same time.
The fact that I know my children are safe, loved and well cared for are the biggest things. They’ve made lasting friendships. And they’ve learned so much!
safe place for my kids, kids have fun and build friendships
I loved that the teachers took such good care of my babies. Ms Joanne and Ms Carmen thank you so much
Everything.. and my child likes it as well!
We love Mrs Jenn she’s the best!!!!
Availability is great! I’m a healthcare worker and needed someone to be available, and they were. The staff is nice, and my daughter always enjoys being there. They followed protocol well and were very clean and good about wiping things down and taking temperatures.
Kids are safe, and learn while also having fun being creative. Teachers teach and reinforce respect, tolerance, confidence, responsibility, encouragement and so much more.
My child always has some craft project completed. My child is always kept busy and having fun.
I like how I feel comfortable know my son is in good hand with I leave him with you all. That means the most to me!
I would say the 2.main things I like about the summer camp my children are attending this summer is 1 the Sand Hill location. Tons of space and doesnt have all the kids crammed together. Lots of things to go out and do every day. The other thing I like is the staff. Last year we sent our children to the boys and girls club and the staff was not very friendly to me or the children. They seemed easily aggravated. We had to pull my children out because they were getting anxiety about going and dealing with the staff. Quite unlike that, the staff at YMCA are very nice, understanding, and all around really great with the kids. I am looking forward to sending them next year when hopefully field trips are allowed (hopefully covid is gone!)
I love the ymca more this year then the past i love that they have included breakfast and lunch for the summer program this year. Pandemic has hurt my family financially. Thank you
Kids do activities that they would not do at home.
I really like the staff that the Y hires. They are really good with the kids as well as the parents. They do interesting arts and crafts to keep the kids engaged as well as give them free play time to choose what they want to do. The children also get outside time to burn off some energy and be physically active.
All the staff members I’ve encountered at the Y have been so nice and caring. They have all done so great with my daughter who has autism. Not once have they ever made me feel like she was a burden in any way. She loves going to the Y and has grown so much in the past 4 months with them. Special mention to Dominic, Ms. Vicky, Ms. Margaret and Tisha and a bunch of others I can’t think of right now :) We are truly thankful for everything you do
My children enjoy going. They love all the activities they are doing
Well my daughter went for 8 weeks and only did the free swimming lessons three times. That was a high disappointment as that was the deciding factor in registering her with YMCA.
I love their family friendly summer activities for camp which is inclusive
Summer camp.
Extremely accommodating for all children at every developmental level. Workers are very knowledgeable of the needs for each individual child and provide life-changing fun atmosphere.
I am so grateful that the Hernando County YMCA accepted my daughter with Down Syndrome. These are memories that she cherishes and the friendships are unmeasurable. Thank you

The staff is awesome
Very interactive with the kids and the activities are perfect!
