We have had a wonderful experience with Mathnasium. In just six months, I have seen a remarkable improvement in my third grader’s math performance, going from earning C’s to consistently earning A’s in school. Even more important than the grades, he is now much more confident in his math abilities. The instructors have been patient, encouraging, and effective at helping him build a strong foundation while closing learning gaps. We also greatly appreciate the flexibility of the online sessions, especially during summer break, which allows him to stay on track regardless of our schedule. Seeing his confidence, interest in math, and academic performance improve so significantly has been incredibly rewarding, and I highly recommend Mathnasium to any parent looking to help their child succeed in math.
I cannot say enough about Keegan and Norah at the Centreville, Va. Mathnasium. Their willingness to help, advise and plan for my 16 year old son's lessons are amazing. They show maturity, beyond their years, working so well with me (the client's parent), empathizing and showing compassion and concern when discussing worries. They are excellent and an asset to the Mathnasium corporation. I say thank you to them both.
My son was a bit leery starting the process. Especially as he was the only high schooler present many times at his appointment time. He quickly converted to liking the dedicated time and having someone to review his questions with immediately while he was working on homework and reviewing for exams. We started with less than a month left in the semester. Next time I would start sooner and feel it was worth the time and money.
We’ve had a really positive experience with Mathnasium for my son, who is currently a junior in high school. He had been struggling with math for some time, largely because the concepts weren’t being explained clearly in the classroom. Like many students, he started to lose confidence as the gaps in understanding grew.
What stood out immediately with Mathnasium was their thorough assessment process. They didn’t just jump into tutoring—they took the time to identify exactly where the gaps were, even going back to foundational concepts that had been missed along the way. That insight was incredibly valuable.
From there, they built a structured, personalized plan focused on strengthening those fundamentals. Instead of just helping him get through current assignments, they worked on rebuilding a solid foundation so he can better handle higher-level math moving forward. We’ve seen a noticeable improvement not just in his skills, but also in his confidence.
I would highly recommend Mathnasium to any student who needs support in math, regardless of age or level. Their approach is thoughtful, targeted, and truly focused on long-term success—not just short-term fixes.
So thankful for the opportunity to have my child find great Math tutoring at Mathnasium. He absolutely loves going to the center and it increased his confidence and knowledge in Math. The tutors had been encouraging and most of all Keegan the director had been very supportive in my son’s journey. He accommodates and works out what best suits my son. He had been so much hands on. In several occasions he would create and innovate solutions for any hurdles we would face, works with us in creating the best approach to help our son in enjoying Math while learning and growing. We enrolled our 9th and 8th grader in Mathnasium and noticed significant improvement very quickly. The kids have a great time when they are there and I honestly could not be happier with the results. I highly recommend Mathnasium for any student who is struggling, or if they just want to stay on top of what they are learning.
My daughter seems to be learning the math concepts better.
However, the bathroom needs to be cleaned. It was pretty gross.
After a couple weeks of trying to find a private AP pre-calculus tutor for my daughter, we gave Mathnasium a call. They were able to get her in for tutoring a 2-3 times a week to help my daughter get back on track. We haven't gotten the final grade yet, but we know she will be up at least a whole letter grade with only 9 tutoring sessions. Thanks to Amanda and Lucas for helping her out!
In just 5 months, my 5th grader went from dreading math to actually enjoying it. The improvement in his confidence and grades has been incredible. The tutors are patient, engaging and really know how to connect with kids. I highly recommend this location and Sierra's team!
My teen loves going to the center to work on Math. Yesterday, we did two hours of lesson and he was fine and said it's actually fun.
So far so good! My daughter likes to go and it seems like she is making progress. I will say she likes some instructors more than others. It would be helpful when signing up for time slots if I knew what instructor was working that day, and their specific times.

My daughter has never been excited about tutoring like she has with Mathnasium. The staff is friendly, educated and able to engage her so that it’s never a chore to go to tutoring. I was never able to incentivize her and the program has fun, challenging, and competitive approaches that make her want to learn and challenge herself. She’s always asking when tutoring is which is a huge shock because she loves it.
We recently moved from the Dunkirk location to the Prince Frederick location as it's much closer to home. We love PF just as much we loved Dunkirk. I absolutely recommend sending your kids to Mathnasium if they're struggling with math or if they love math and want to get even better with their skills. Every instructor has a positive attitude every single day and my kids cheer when I tell them they have math that day.
