He facilities are excellent and the staff personnel are wonderful.

I love how clean the building is maintained. I watch the interactions of staff with members and everyone is always so nice and helpful. I do have one concern I would like for your management to consider. The programs that have music and/or microphones are of great health concern. The high noise levels currently used are doing damage to hearing. It may be that no one notices the damage it is doing at the moment but it is happening. Tinnitus, loss of low or high levels of hearing are experienced by people as they age from direct exposure to loud noises. I would encourage Y management to explore professional testing of levels currently in use by hearing specialists and to follow their recommendations. Hearing is too precious to lose.
Variety
I do mostly swimming and walking. The measured track is good, because I can track my distance. The pool is great for swimming laps.
People
I swim laps and do pool exercise; also use the treadmill. Bob uses the treadmill and does a weight routine.
We love the Y in Salem.
Do wish you had more trainers for personal assistance and happy to pay for it.
