The Forsyth Y feels more like a club to join healthy, happy people than a gym to suffer and sweat.
My visit there is always a pleasant experience and I feel as though I am among friends. That said, I can always get in a quiet workout when I am not in the mood to socialize.
Staff is usually available to help as I want it but help is not pushed on me.
Classes are added/tried out based on customer interests and this keeps things interesting.
I like the daily schedule of classes posted on the screen in the lobby.
Classes are well done and instructors are knowlegable.
The social aspect of our YMCA for mature adults is unbeatable. It encourages my physical and mental health.
The lobby area with coffee in the lobby, tv news and local news media offers a place to "reward myself" with a cup of coffee after a good workout.
Dana is a spectacular asset to the Y. So is Beth at the front desk.
My wishes for possible improvement:
I wish we had water classes that were deep water. We need a better method that saves machine settings and where I can record my progress! I need instruction or a class on how to use the electronic options on the exercise bikes. I wish we had a bigger inndoor track OR other indoor routes were measured (sort of the way the mall walkers have) so I can get in walking a known distance without the tiny track. I am a little worried that this Y will grow too large to maintain the current atmosphere. THANK YOU!!
Friendly clean. Good equipment. Coaches are helpful. Comradary with others around coffee table.
I do pool exercise. Love being in the water. Nice facilities. Love the family atmosphere.
They are very welcoming and the staff is friendly, very helpful and caring!
My grandson went to camp this year for the first time and told my daughter to take him to the y camp. He loves it and Is very sad that this is his last week! The camp counselors have been wonderful to him and made his first camp experience awesome!

I love going to WERQ & Zumba classes. I also appreciate that the YMCA offers coach approach to new members . It has been very helpful for me personally and has held me more accountable.

The facility itself
We love the variety of classes and also the childcare is the best!
Your swimming programs the last three years have had a big impact my two grandchildren. They love the water and are in the process of becoming good swimmers. The soccer program is very good compared to others.
Not sure about programs yet... Just starting swimming lessons for grandkids tomorrow.

I really love the sense of camaraderie between the instructors and other classmates in the fun group fitness classes I take. Make me feel part of the team!! The smiling faces of folks behind the front desk is nice too!
I like the variety of classes offered, the instructors and all the staff. It is such a friendly, unintimidating atmosphere. I also like meeting other members.
I like that I can drop off my kids for two hours. I like the people who work there and the Vickery YMCA facility in general.
Day camp on the lake
Its exercise with a cause. I like that, knowing it helps kids.
I like the heated yoga classes and also the sitting areas widely spread across the facility. Group classes are awesome and I love your facility. Nice location and ambience!
The availability and use of the gym for Baskeball for our whole family. The effort to have programs for youth. The friendliness of staff.
We LOVE our Y! Our daughter - Calla - has pretty much grown up there. The play center is a place she loves to go to - everyone that works there has been kind, caring and interactive with her - she has been taking swim lessons and attending day camps as well. My wife and I love the gym and workout equipment and my wife loves the various classes as well. The Forsyth County Y is a warm, welcoming place to work out and we look forward to our time there. Oh - and Parents Night Out - WE LOVE IT! Keep up the outstanding work - we will be lifelong members.
