Member Testimonials
I’ve just come back after a year hiatus due to the pandemic. They are very careful and adhere to safety protocols.
Excellent service
People and the facility and the activities.
I love that there's childcare so that I can do my workout. Can't wait until it is open full time again. Also there are so many great child programs in general. The family aspect of the Y is something you don't get at any other gym. It's the best.
The protocol for COVID-19 are safe and healthy. I like it that you sign up for a class. Si the classes are not big. You have your temperature taken upon entry to the facility, you wear your mask while attending, wioe down spray is available and santizer stations.
environment is conducive to working out, not hooking up
My son takes swimming lessons at the YMCA in Alpharetta. The staff is so nice, helpful, and very welcoming. The swimming instructors are awesome with the kids. My son truly enjoys every second he’s there. Being apart of a program where you are valued as a member and seeing the joy everyone contributes to my sons experience is appreciated. My son always looks forward to his two days out the week at the Y and seeing his big smile from the time he’s on his way till the time he leaves makes it all worthwhile. Thank you for all that you’ll do! As a single mother of four moments like this are truly valued and greatly appreciated!
I love that you provide programming for teens/adults with special needs!
My name is Britt and I have Cerebral Palsy. I really enjoy the Adaptive Fitness and Adaptive Yoga class at the Ed Isaacson YMCA. The instructors are so encouraging and helpful and willing to assist.
The pool and whirlpool.
I like the instructors and the variety of classes, and the community!
Love the water aerobics classes but you need to increase the class sizes. Fowler Y has 15 person classes - 5 per lane with 3 lanes blocked.
Water aerobics and sr Strength classes. Augustine is the best!

I like the cammrodery in the Group exercise classes and the helpfulness of the fitness center staff.
The facilities & equipment are excellent!
Staff is very friendly. Programs allow seniors to be more independent, social and have numerous activities to choose even in this Covid era.
The weight room is excellent and the staff keeps it spotless and is so friendly and professional.
A variety of classes are offered and the instructors are all Great! The staff is courteous.
They are fun and most people are very nice
The coaches are friendly and make the kids feel challenged and welcomed, swimming classes are fun. All the staff is warm and it’s a very familiar place.
I regularly attend group exercise classes in the evenings and weekends. I like challenging classes - strength, interval, yoga. During the pandemic I have continued to attend classes. I like the social distancing practice of having spaces defined in the exercise room, but I think participants should be reminded to wear masks when they are not in their defined spaces. Most participants remove masks when class starts and then freely roam about the room only replacing their masks when they exit the studio.
Not much. I only go 1 or 2 times a week. Would like a program for sr's on beginning yoga.
For the classes I attend, the instructors make all of the difference. They are present and invested in our health. They give us the Whys behind what we are doing and the benefits years into the future.
Karen Wise, Robin, Ana, Rich and Kathleen Butcher who used to be with you all.
