Excellent, professional instructors of multiple classes each day. Reasonable physical plant. Plenty of parking with sufficient number of Handicapped slots. Staff and instructors helpful and friendly. Suitable accommodations for all levels. Welcoming, and participates in community-supporting activities- e.g., coat food, and food drives. Glad to be a long-term member.

I really enjoy the variety of classes (although it seems like there are fewer classes offered over the last month), the variety of strength machines and definitely the coach program! The staff is so friendly and helpful.

I love the community experience of the Decatur YMCA. The classes are great and most of the staff is helpful and friendly. The front desk aaaociatea may need some customer service training.

A plethora of Great programs for Active Senior Adults, large number of equipment for members along with the indoor track and olympic size Swimming pool make the Decatur YMCA one of the best facilities in Metro Atlanta!
I love the Monday morning running group.. even though turnout isn’t great, it’s such a fantastic opportunity to run in the morning with others! It’s outside, which I love, and I think it’s cool that programming can be “outside the box” or, literally outside.
Everything is good BUT : I am handicapped and thus like other handicapped users I cannot use the bathroom because the door is too hard to open and close

Something for everyone!
we enjoy the YMCA activities for our child especially! we find that the instruction is much better than other community programs and our child gets more attention. He is currently in Basketball Skills with Coaches JC and Dan, and they are excellent. It's a small class size so each child gets attention, along with encouragement too. the skills are appropriate for his age but are challenging at the same time. we will definitely continue with the skills program in the future.
I've participated in a few different focused exercise offerings and they're great. I primarily lift weights. The trainers I've met with have been wonderful.
I appreciate the new equipment when it comes!
