I use the weight and cardio room about twice a week. I like that it is busy, but not too crowded and that the staff seem to know me and check on me. They notice when I have not been in a while too, which keeps me accountable!

More older people senior citizens are members. Also like the weight room facilities. Especially the basketball court and the indoor track. The sauna which I haven’t used yet.

I'm a scardy-cat at heart and that makes me afraid to experiment... but I'm getting there because almost ALL of the instructors/coaches are very encouraging.
The exercise equipment is maintained nicely and staff is helpful.
I enjoy open gym time for basketball. Not games just shooting and practicing skills.
The instructors! In particular, I really appreciate Melody, Lucky, Setu, Lindsay, Kristin and Jessica.

The friendliness of staff and cleanliness of the facility. Also love the diversity of people, both staff and members, along with the wide range of classes and workout equipment. Pool is excellent and clean (though wish it were salt water) .
There is an uplifting atmosphere at the Decatur Y that makes it enjoyable to be there!
