I like the group exercise classes. Just wish they have better time offerings in the evening. 5pm classes are not realistic options for people who work.
The staff are friendly and helpful. We love the ladies that work in the kids play area. They are great with my children and super knowlagable and professional. The facilities are clean and well done. There are a few elepticals that needs repair, as the handle bar is broken, and the sound doesn't work on one of the TV's.

The facility is just stellar compared to the other 3 facilities I frequent weekly. Although one could say it's because of the density and socieconomic's of the surrounding community, i's a lovely and clean facility, superior programs and effective communication.

The variety of activities and programs that are available. I like having a coach available to help with exercise activities.

The childcare center is awesome! The women who work there know the kids, care about them, and interact with them rather than just watching them.

My work schedule doesn’t provide me much time to take part in the programs at the Y. I only get to enjoy the friendly & helpful early morning staff when I arrive to exercise. They are really committed to helping us and making us feel welcome, even at 5AM! Great staff!!!

I wish there were a few more classes I preferred and that the weights section was a little more stocked and diverse with equipment, but the people at the Y are the reason I love it. From the minute i walk through the front door and am greeted by the same front desk staff who know my name, to the AMAZING play center (I can not say enough good things about Ms. Mary, Angie, heaven, Sarah, and isahhua), to the awesome instructors (jess with the T/Th HIIT class is my fave) and then rh awesome members and friendly staff upstairs. We love the Decatur Y. I have recommended it to so many friends. One just joined this week with her kids!!
Great group fitness classes
My family truly appreciates being able to use the Y because we are on scholarship. If we had to pay full price, sadly, we would not be able to attend.

I love the friendly atmosphere, the fitness classes, the natural light in the upstairs cardio and weight areas, the clean towels, and we love the play center.

What a wonderful gym! I am particularly likely to recommend since the fabulous makeover a few years ago, putting it in the same league with the other top YMCAs and making it a better choice than some private gyms. It's clean, well-equipped, diverse and delightful.
