I love that this YMCA is in my community and filled with friendly people that work there and also those that exercise there.
Clean facilities and programs offered.
What do not like:
The outdoor pool removed the existing single lap swimming single lane. The guards are expecting lap swimmers to swim around the children playing in the pool. I was told that they removed the lane becasue they could not enforce people going in the lap lane. This seems to me a very poor reason to eliminate the single lap lane becasue of their lack of lifeguard enforment skills.
Pleas put the lap lane back in the pool!
Variety of classes and times, instructors
Variety of options but there should be later times for kids programs for working families

Love the variety of classes, especially yoga. Great teachers, especially Claire.
Everything is always so organized and it doesn't smell like gym.
Classes for adults and children
My husband and I really like the diverse types of group exercise offered and appropriate for all age groups. He enjoys swimming and water aerobics, and I like Zumba and yoga. I particularly have liked learning to play Pickleball under the tutelage of Dave—and love the sense of community among the players. The Decatur Y is a real asset to the area!
I think the classes--frequency and schedule are great. The teachers are all fun and very good at instruction.

Lots of choices of activities and my 9 yo can work out with me rather than go to childcare!
I participate in swimming and must tell you that the staff at the pool and the lockerrooms are the most friendly and caring people......plus it is very clean.....otherwise it would be just a nice new faciliity. The staff makes the difference.....

You are close. Varied programs. Our children started their soccer lives at the Y. Two played into adulthood.

The play center is the absolute BEST! Ms. Mary and her staff are wonderful caregivers. The play center is always clean and fun. My children love to go and it helps me stay healthy and happy, too!

I enjoy the family atmosphere of the Y. Activities are available for the very young to aging adults!
