I use the Wellness Center, which is well-managed, primarily by Ruth. I like the orderliness of it and the maintenance of the equipment. Ruth seems to be particular about cleanliness, and I sometimes see her going around with a broom and dustpan. She makes sure that rules are being followed, and this helps bring about the orderliness -- and relative calm -- of the center.
I also use the pool, which is well-maintained. The water chemistry is consistently what it should be, and the clarity is good, which stands in stark contrast to the pool of a Y branch not far. The DDY guards are doing a far better job with consistent attentiveness than ever before in my ten years of swimming here. They're following the guard rules far more often than before. Which is essential, imperative, for safety, especially of small children.
It's also important for the so-called optics. Parents whose kids are in swim lessons are watching from the lobby or the pool deck. They note what's going on, including whether the guards are following the rules, including the one about not staring at one's cell phone, or the one about not gabbing interminably with a friend. Parents are always watching. Members are.
I'm hoping the Y -- beginning with executives at Metro -- continues to think about improving the guarding, which is a difficult job, mostly for its long shifts and tediousness. Can the guards be given more breaks? Longer ones? Can they be paid more? What can be done to help them with this job, again not an easy one.
The QR scan sheet for guard behavior should be removed from the pool deck and placed in the lobby, perhaps on the bulletin board by the comment box. This would make far more sense.
Finally, when I leave a comment -- and I have rarely done so -- and indicate that I'd like someone to call me, I would appreciate someone's actually doing that.
Clean, variety, kind staff, close by!

I cannot swim in the Y because the chlorine is too strong - causes skin and allergy problems for me.
Tight on space, but the great classes and FANTASTIC instructors make it worthwhile.
My kids love the playcenter, and my son has really enjoyed the STEM events and Parents-night-outs. I'm looking forward to signing him up to sports leagues at the Y soon.

I love the wide variety of classes offered at this YMCA. One thing that I often struggle with is parking :-( I've turned away many times because no parking was available.
Childcare center is great! Especially Ms Delaney.
Some room for improvement as have noticed a couple times a staff member in the childcare center looking pretty disengaged (eg, sitting in rocking chair sleeping).
Otherwise, have really appreciated knowing my child is in safe care while I am working out. Thank you!
I have recently rejoined this January. I’ve taken a few classes, used the treadmill, used the kettlebells once, and played pickleball once. The classes are fairly easy to signup for. I hope to do more kettlebell workouts and play pickleball more often when weather is too harsh for outdoor pickleball play

Plenty of choices.
