The Y gives me a family oriented place to work out with plenty of options. From yoga and zumba classes to cardio and weight machines. Currently, I am enjoying taking my grandson to play at the pool.

I would have given the Carl Sanders YMCA a higher score ... a 10 ... had I not gone there today and found that the cardio area is closed while new equipment is being installed. That meant 45 minutes of round-trip driving and wasted fuel. I don't take classes nor does my family participate in activities. We primarily use the Y for cardio exercise. It was frustrating and disappointing not to have had prior notice about this closure. A simple email, such as the one I'm responding to now, would have given me the necessary information to stay away for a few days. Other than this big failure to communicate, I enjoy the Y immensely. It is easy for me to get to, and the staff is warm, friendly, and helpful in many different ways. I don't have a lot of personal friends at the Y, but I find that just about all the people who go there are friendly, courteous, and pleasant to be around. The building is spotlessly clean. It's a happy place.

First of all, I LOVE the incredible staff!! From the great staff at the front desk to the cleaning team, they all provide a fun, pristine, and energetic workout environment. My trainer, Sally, is great—always encourages me and is patient with my many questions. And, I love meeting other members as I work out—we have an incredible group of people at the Carl E Sanders YMCA! It’s my happy place 💗

I utilize the swimming pool, regularly. I enjoy knowing that an appointment for a lane/shared lane is easy to secure. I also appreciate the friendliness of the staff, along with the cleanliness of the facility. It’s easy in and easy out…with the afterglow that accompanies a good swim, whirlpool, and/or sauna session.

There seems to be a variety of fitness activities for people with different interests and intensity levels, and plenty of equipment for self-directed workouts. We love it!
The YMCA is well equipped, clean, and the staff is friendly. It’s quiet – no televisions or music blaring. Everyone can listen to their own programming through earbuds, if desired.
