Varied activities, friendly staff and family friendly
The Carl E. Sanders YMCA is a wonderful neighborhood fitness center that serves so much of the Buckhead and surrounding communities. It is so amazing that at 5 AM during the work week they are open and ready for business. It is a great way to start each day and see some workout buddies in the process. I love the spin studio instructors (Laura & Joe in the mornings) and all the others that put the time into preparing the music that inspires and - in the case of Joe - educates on the intricacies of music history from our generation. Now that is something unique.
We are just Y fans!!
When I go to the Y, I use the elliptical machines. I don’t take classes (music is so loud). We don’t participate in family activities;our kids are grown and Kiev away from Atlanta. I enjoy the Y’s friendly environment. Itkt a very comfortable space.
I just joined the 100 Mile Swim Challenge and did my first .5 mi! Diane was the life guard on duty that morning, and she was awesome at getting me pumped up with my commitment. She also gave me great info and advice on scheduling my pool time to get in my laps!
We love our Y ❤️
Diverse programs
The diversity of programs and classes is unparalleled.
It’s great value for the money.
Working out in a roomy, clean, well-lighted, well-equipped gym is a pleasure. The staff is exceptional, always helpful and always welcoming.
One of the really enjoyable aspects of my visit to the Y is the banter with old buddies and meeting new people who will become old buddies.
The times programs and activities are available for user
Tennis
Variety and accessibilty
I like the pool and the locker room is nice. I wish there was a stroke clinic available though.
Amazing facilities and a great community environment. Love my Y !
Variety for cost
the variety. also the variety and quality of exercise equipment
The cleanliness, well organized, great instructors
The tennis program (clinics, individual coaching, and ALTA) are all excellent. The facilities are well managed and maintained.
Nice selection of options
I love the convenience and the community of the Carl Sanders YMCA. It offers alot.
I use the tennis the most and see that you all are addressing some concerns that we have had for quite a few years. When these things are addressed......fixed.... and becomes habit then the Y will have a 10!
everything! affordability and quality!
I love working out at the YMCA.
One small issue to raise: No one is supposed to leave locks on the lockers overnight in the men's locker room. But it appears that someone (probably staff members) is leaving locks on lockers number 1 and 2 in the men's locker rooms. To make matters worse, these are the two lockers adjacent to the handicap seat. Time to cut them off. Thanks, First name removed
Pickleball! Only Y in metro ATL with evening pickleball for those of us that work full-time and 4to 6pm Sunday open play. Thank You.
I wanted to provide some input regarding the start times of the early morning spin classes.
While I don't mind the 530am start time, I do want to mention that when it was at 545am, it allowed me to do other exercises before class. Now, there is not enough time beforehand and working out on the equipment while super sweaty from spin class is not ideal...
I love the way the team takes care of its members. Very attentive. I love the equipment and spaciousness and that there are so many offerings/diversity of classes.
I would LOVE a deep stretch yoga class!
I play pickleball and wish there were more daytime open clinics.
I take Pilates (Lisa) and burn (Lisa or Marla Deen) classes and both are always great.
Superb activities and facilities!
The staff do a great job of meeting the needs required to run a smooth operation. I wish the McCleskey. Y had better management.
All the kid activities and family events.

Very nice and clean
