Great yoga, work out equipment & great staff!
Group exercise classes and weight room!
Increase the size of all the Aqua strong classes.
I'm disappointed that the Dripping Springs YMCA is not offering recycling.
I don't take part in programs or activities.
We are very pleased with the swim program and swim meets. My son has learned so much and is progressing well!
The gym is clean and the staff are so helpful, and the customers also care about the gym environment. Most do not stay needlessly on a machine or device texting or on the phone they do respect the other patrons.
Love the staff. Only go for the basketball court.
Really like senior exercise classes with Annette Hiller&Penny Reeves
My local Y is almost always open, even on most holidays - how great is that! Our instructors are, for the most part, top notch: pleasant, professional, present!
The staff are friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond their duties to help me get my pickleball practice.
They have 5 courts for pickleball, good swimming facilities, both indoor & outdoor.
Great outdoor pool. Both the weight rooms and running machines are perfect for my fitness routine.
I like the various classes for Seniors. Penny is an excellent teacher!
Good classes, great pool, very kind and helpful and upbeat staff, clean facilities, childcare option, social opportunities, nice spaces.
Easy to schedule. Helpful staff.
The aquatics program is absolutely amazing. My daughter Ryann went through months of swim lessons and did the rec swim team over the summer, and she absolutely loved it. She has always loved the water, but as her parent, I did not know how to teach her to swim. She is like a little pro swimmer now with amazing skill when she swims! The YMCA instructors are kind, patient, approachable, and most of all, FUN. Thank you for being amazing to my baby girl and instilling so much confidence in her!
The staff is very helpful.
I LOVE the variety of open use spaces, weights, machines, swimming, and outdoor walking for warm up.
The year round heated pool is incredible, and there's so many open swim time options.
Facilties are always so clean and organized.
One of my friends visited and we used a guest pass for her, she requested pickleball equipment to lend from the front desk and we spent two hours playing pickleball! I never played it before! It's so easy to casually do something new even when you didn't plan it in your schedule.
Variety
My son got much more comfortable in the water! The instructor was wonderful and so patient. I’d highly recommend!
Clean and inviting facility! Pleasant and professional staff!
Friendly staff. Really fun Senior Strong class with Penny. Not over-crowded; elliptical walkers are always available.
I very much enjoy the Senior Strong group exercises led by Penny.
The weight machines are nice, too.
Water aerobics
The YMCA is great, but the men’s bathroom is really bad. I avoid it and go to HEB afterwards. Fix the restrooms and I can give a10!
I like alll of the treadmills and exercise equipment
Ease of use and friendly staff
The facility is clean, has child care, the machines/weights I want, pools, and great classes.
I like that they are available!
All the classes I have taken have excellent instructors, the facility is clean, and the desk staff is helpful.
The only thing I would like to suggest is putting up signs in the weight rooms encouraging people to master their form and increase their weight load slowly. I see so many teenage guys using weights they clearly cannot handle with really lousy form, thereby setting themselves up for an injury. They would be much better off using less weight and mastering their form.
Maybe it is time to require them to take a class before they can use the weight room. It would be better for them to learn about good weight lifting technique from a male role model.

Every time I go to the Dripping Springs YMCA, I feel so at home. I really like the bin filled with basketballs and volleyballs. Usually one side of the gym is open for individuals to practice shooting baskets, so it is a good place to warm up. I enjoy the casual, friendly conversations that I share with other members. Another favorite room is the "dance room" (wooden floors and mirrors). I use that room to do modern dance movements, calisthenics, and stretching when there are no classes being held On my last visit, I found it very peaceful to just relax in the yoga room upstairs: the soft lighting and quietness melted away stressors. And the weight training room has an ideal atmosphere. The members in that room are what I call "serious", working on their individual, personal goals. Having lifted weights for decades in many locations, the etiquette displayed by clients exceptional. And there are still amenities in this facility that I look forward to experiencing. I just want to compliment the employees who greet members at the front desk. They set the tone of respect for clients to pursue their own goals for fitness.
