I like the exercise classes.
My husband and I love working with Brooke. She's been a great personal trainer, and includes a lot of variety with the workouts. I do wish that the upstairs machines would be in better working order, but those are out of her control.
The options, child care.
Very family friendly and great sportsmanship.
The indoor pool..
There’s a wonderful variety of programs for all ages and interests! Staff is so friendly and patient!😊
Family friendly atmosphere & exercise equipment that’s easy to use. I enjoy the group classes & lap pool the most.
Flexible schedules for aerobics classes/etc and hours of operation are great.
I like the availabity of member activities to accomodate varied schedules. I like the cleanliness of the entire facility. I like the people and how friendly they are. I live on social security, so I like the price as well.
Excellent instructors (especially Nancy in water motion class)
Very friendly and helpful staff
Engaging activities
Clean and convenient facility (well maintained.....thanks for resurfacing the pool and repairing the dry sauna)
I just swim don't use any programs, but the 3 people that normally alternate at the front desk should all be given a raise. Although I normally feel pretty good, there are those that go there that have a positive attitude change in their lives, by the way they are treated when they walk in the door. It's true that very few ever express themselves to those that are making their lives better even though I have tried to encourage them to do so. I guess it is just up to ya'll, they need to hear it. Bill.
Lots of exercise classes.
Teachers are great.
All staff are friendly!
Clean
Keeps me notified of changes.
Warm pool
My grandsons love it and are learning.
the variety of classes and activities.
The instructors are very good with the kids .They really patient with my kiddos. I would like to see a Gymnastic class be offered at the Southwest Branch. I have been asking for about a year and I never get a response from anyone.
Great place! Family minded!
Small classes
Your once-new and state-of-the-art facilities (though much is in need of maintenance and improvements). Your (mostly) polite, cheerful, and helpful staff.
What I don’t like is the recent temperature of the indoor pool, which has been too warm (over 90 degrees!) for safe aerobic exercise; the insufficient time spent in aerobic exercise in Jolyn Turner’s AquaFit classes. The low priority the Southwest Y staff gives to providing qualified staff and equipment support to its water aerobics classes in general.
And of course, I don’t like parking, especially when I have to park in the back lot. I think y’all do about the best you can with what you’ve got, though, and I like that.
I like that all people are able to participate. It does not matter age or physical ability.
Accidentally ended up in a Saturday Zumba class due to scheduling snafu at the Town Lake Y. It was a great class and I truly love that the YMCA is a community hub.
Great place. Lots of activities, more machines and free weights than you can count. Inside and outside pools for exercise and relaxing. Employees could not be better.
Only inconvenience --parking can be difficult from time to time.
Friendly
Variety, good instructors.
Dislike when one instructor, Leigh, repeatedly screams Oh My God! While teaching Less Mills classes at the Austin Southwest location. This is supposed to be a Christian organization.
Wonderful

Great class choices
