We have loved our time at Mathnasium. Not only has my son improved significantly in his math skills, he has discovered an enjoyment of math and loves going to see the staff at Mathnasium East. Where my son was getting BE (beginning) and AP (approaching) he is now consistenly getting ME (meeting) and very often EX (exceeding).. something he never would have dreamed of before Mathnasium. We love Islington Village Mathnasium !! Sapir and the staff are a delight to interact with, and my daughter is truly enjoying the learning system, all the while solidifying her foundational math skills. I appreciate that I can request they incorporate something specific my daughter struggles with at school into her learning plan; the centre also acts like a tutoring service in that way when we really need it. 10/10 would recommend! Mathnasium of Newmarket is a happy place for our grandkids. They love going there having fun learning math at the same time. All the staff are fantastic teachers and take the time to teach the kids properly and make them understand the math that they are doing. I highly recommend Mathnasium of Newmarket to any one who wants to build a good relationship with math and success for their kids future. I would definitely rate Mathnasium of Newmarket 10 out of 10 star rating.
My child not only goes to her ‘math club’ without complaining, she has started to talk about numbers, math equations and counting, etc. throughout her day. This openness to work on and try things that are more challenging has been extremely important in helping her boost confidence and skills. WOW, thank you! The staff is also mature and friendly.

A friend recommeded Mathnasium when my daughter was struggling with math. I've seen her confidence grow and I'm delighted with her progress so far. I like the personalised study plan, progress reports and flexible drop in classes. The punch card incentive is also a great idea and helped keep my daughter engaged and driven to see her accomplishments rewarded :-). The staff are also welcoming and encouraging.

I appreciate that progress reports are sent after each session. All the instructors are very pleasant and knowledgable. And work really well to keep my child engaged and motivated. It is conveniently located and scheduling sessions is made easy using their online sign up system. All and all we are very pleased with the services provided.
My daughter’s math grades are improving and she is becoming more confident in her ability.
We moved from PEI to Ontario this summer. We are sending our daughter to a French school (Lycee Francais de Toronto; French curriculum i.e. not Ontario curriculum). There was a significant difference in the curriculum, however we also knew that our daughter struggled in math, even at her old school. Ultimately it was recommended that our daughter (7 years old as of October 2025) repeat grade one mainly because of her math skills.
We had heard about Mathnasium through parents of one of her classmates and we decided to give it a go - not to get her ahead, but to help her catch up, build solid skills, and hopefully learn confidence.
Alice begs us to go to mathnasium now, and when we pick her up she says "please can I stay for 5 more minutes". Her curiosity around numbers and math has soared, as has her confidence. She is progressing every single week and most importantly, she LOVES going to Mathnasium!
I'm already seeing an increase in my daughter's grades.
