As always, we had an amazing experience. My son decided to sit in the taxi car and loved every minute of it. We used to see Kareema in VA beach and we followed her to the Chesapeake location. She is THE BEST. Amazingly skilled and so patient and kind. My son is afraid of the clippers and she took the time to do his entire haircut with scissors. Experiences with other stylists at other places have ended in tears and he was happy the entire time. He looked great with this new haircut and even gave her a hug!

Y’all are so patient with squirmy kiddos and I am forever grateful for that because my son cannot sit still very well but Ms. Kendyl always does such a great job on his haircut!
I love this salon! I was hesitant on someone else cutting my sons hair because he is very attached to me (Mom), but Summer was so patient with my son. She offered him several toys as distractions, crackers, changing the channel to a cartoon he liked, and was so kind. She is amazing! I will definitely bring him back soon.

I brought my 4 year old in for her first haircut. I was incredibly nervous, as my daughter is autistic and non verbal. She can be very sensitive to sounds, people, and new experiences. The staff was phenomenal with her! She was wiggly, but the hair dresser moved with her and had so much patience and care for my girl. I cannot express enough gratitude. My girl got to have a wonderful first haircut experience, and so did I.
We have been there 2 times now. Ashley and Rachel done amazing with my autistic son! They were so kind and patient ❤️

How friendly and how well everyone communicates with the kids is super impressive
We were able to make an appointment the day prior online which made things so easy! The website was easy to navigate and there were plenty of times to choose from. We were greeted and taken care of immediately by Alyssa. She was so kind and accommodating from start to finish. My 2 year old son is autistic and this was his first real haircut. His dad had butchered it at home so we needed to get it fixed asap. She led us into the play room where my son was most comfortable with with all the toys and quietness. She took him right on time and explained the process. She was so quick about the whole haircut, used a calm voice and had a reassuring demeanor and she had animal crackers ready! My son for the most part handled it well but she made it so much easier and less painful than it would’ve been. So thank you! We are truly appreciative and will be back for future cuts!
The most important thing to us is our grandbaby as we have adopted her. She is special needs. The main reason I picked pigtails and crew cuts was because y'all help children with High sensitivities. I must say our experience was wonderful. Such a very nice place completely set up for children. Our visit was comfortable. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is very friendly. We like the extra incentives for purchase as well. Although the markup and cost children's toys are a little much, I see it as a special day for our grandbaby. Madison was our hair stylist. I can't thank her enough for her sweetness and kind care and professionalism. Our grandbaby enjoyed her visit so much that she wants to go back and get her haircut again. So sweet. We are so grateful and we will be back. Madison even give me idea of proper way to cut her bangs as I've been cutting them ever since she was little she is now 6 years old. I told her no worries I would just have her do that from now on. I truly am grateful for this facility such a wonderful idea as there are so many children in need out there are a lot more with disabilities than most people may think. Thank you so much! I only pray that God blesses each and every one of you and helps everyone to move forward on their endeavors. I will recommend this facility and already have.

What can I say? Every time we’re here, we always feel like family. Whether it’s a quick pop in to say hello or a regularly scheduled appointment, you have made it such a great priority to make us feel so special. Sophia and Alex always walk out with a swagger and smile because of their great look provided mostly by Kristina, but really, you can’t go wrong with any staff member here.
My kids are high energy, high strung and can be a little intense in places they feel safest. Well, they definitely feel like they’re an important part of their community with Kristina and crew. We know it’s incredibly important to have an appointment when coming to this salon especially since they really know their stuff and it gets so busy! But that’s the sign of them knowing their stuff and doing it right!
While our time in Virginia is coming to a close prematurely, we will always remember that we are family and know that we have a safe place here with Pigtails and Crewcuts. For our hair, for our hearts, for our headaches from the outside world, we know we are safe here. No judgment, no stress, no mess but the hair off their heads. Love you all so much!
