I absolutely love taking my kids here! From super friendly staff, to fun vehicles for them to ride in, to movies to watch to keep them entertained. I can’t say enough about how much we love our visits.
I like the atmosphere. It is inviting and fun for kids of all ages. The stylists are great and very kid friendly! Been taking my grandson there for the past five years . He won’t go anywhere else! 💇🏻♂️
Great experience! Stella was wonderful. We tried multiple places and my son would cry and scream with every haircut. We finally found a place where he is comfortable and did wonderfully!! Thank you Pigtails & Crewcuts Montclair!!!
Ms Adrienne did such a good job managing the thickness of my son’s hair that I scheduled my daughter for a cut later the same week. She’s the first stylist I’ve experienced at a child’s salon that has taken the time to debulk, shape and texturize. They both look great! We’ll be coming back to see her.

Really fantastic experience. Love Katrina. She did a great job cutting my 4 year old twins' hair. Very patient and they loved her. This was there first time having someone cut their hair other than dad. Amanda was wonderful with her daughter. Made the fairytale package well worth it!

Even though we were running late, Ms. Brenda made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable! She was absolutely amazing with our kiddo, who has sensory sensitivities and usually finds haircuts pretty stressful. He often struggles with the clippers and sitting still, but Ms. Brenda took the time to show him the clippers, let him feel them, and answered all his curious questions with such patience and kindness.
She worked quickly and skillfully, making sure he felt comfortable every step of the way, and the result? A big, happy smile on his face! It was one of the best haircut experiences he’s ever had. We’re so grateful for the staff’s neurodiversity training and the incredible patience and care they show for every child. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Awesome service
My son really doesn’t like hair cuts and can be kind of grumpy during them, but all the staff are so good at keeping him distracted long enough to get his hair cut and are so sweet and patient with him.
Michelle is always fabulous. She knows exactly what I like and takes the time to ask throughout if everything is looking how I prefer. She is great with Ethan and is super patient throughout our visits! We’ve been coming to PigTails and Crewcuts for years and we will continue for as long as they have Michelle. Thankful for truly great service.

The girl that work on my sons hair was incredibly nice and worked with my son when he was upset. She was very professional and refused to leave my son looking like a mess even though he was crying and dogging her. I’m so happy with the way his hair turned out and so happy with the service.
It was a great experience - took my 4 year old for her first ever haircut. I loved the look of the place and that they turned on a movie for her. She got a little trim and a braid with a cute butterfly clip!
