Many to choose from for adults and children
Front desk service when you first arrive is helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, spends plenty of time answering all your questions. You don’t feel pressured into making any decisions.
Like the variety of workout machines.
Don't like the new matrix machines, can't find settings on home pages
few choices to find settings.
I only use the exercise equipment and track, but I like the new E-Gym machines, and I like that your equipment is well maintained. I do have one suggestion - I also have a membership at another gym, and go there more than I go to the Y because they have a Pectoral Fly/Rear Deltoid machine I like to use every day. I think it's a Life Fitness brand machine, but it may be Matrix.
Kind staff, clean facilities, always open when we need it! Thank you for everything you do!
I like Kevin Coles aqua classes in the deep well.
I have always enjoyed using the indoor track, warm water pool and steam room amenities, but the recent addition of the high-tech EGYM equipment, is now by far, my most favorite part of visiting the West Chester YMCA location.
Jane is a great instructor for Silver Sneakers!
Love the group classes & variety of options 😊
Your programs and activities have flexible time slots making it easy for everyone to find an activity to suit their schedule.
We like the varied options, the clean gym and access to lap lanes for swimming
The Y offers many Options for seniors !
I am very close to the Lionville Y but I did come to West Chester to swim when the pool in Lionville was closed temporarily. There are 10 lap lanes so very seldom do you have to share.
Beautiful facility and very pleasant staff.
Spacious swim area and good instructors
Good facility and instructors
Although we are not members, we have really enjoyed the Parent/Child swim lessons - our daughter loves being in the pool. However, we did learn that for future sessions, the toddlers/kids will not be able to hang out in the kid pool before and after the lessons. If that's true, I'm not sure we'll be signing up for future lessons given the current price of the lessons and how valuable that extra time is for allowing my daughter to really get used to the water and enjoy her time in the pool.
The instructors are patient with the children.
Very competent instructors.
Low cost, lots of options
That I have met new people and I like the activities and programs that you offer
To be honest, I never quite understood the allure of working out in public. I have an exercise bike in my basement and thought that was enough. I was recently introduced to the YMCA through the Livestrong program which came at a time when I needed it the most. The first time we jumped on the equipment for warm-up, I regretted not bringing my earbuds, and even grumbled to myself that I could be doing this cardio in the comfort of my own home. But then one of the women in my group jumped on the machine next to me and we started chatting. The 20-minute warm-up session flew by and I found I had a new friend in the process. It was an "aha" moment for me when I realized that the YMCA provides community -- a community to support our wellness journey, leading us to well-being and happiness. I feel so grateful for such a resource!
Deep water aerobics.
I use the walking track regularly and I just started a Tai Chi class. However I wish chair yoga and Tai Chi were not scheduled on the same day.
have visited only 3 times so far but first impressions - friendly staff, many age groups active
The community experience
The layout of the building and all the separate dedicated areas was fantastic. I usually go to Kennett so seeing the new rfi equipment was exciting. I hope that same equipment will be installed in Kennett.
I right now just use the machines and track. Everyone at the Y is friendly.,easy approachable.
Appreciate the availability of equipment that I use most
availability of facilities and programs for a large portion of each day.

I love the classes I participate in, and the instructors. The classes are getting larger (Pilates) and the room is not that big. The only downsize I see. More classes would be nice.
