Great gym!

Use the outdoor lap pool mostly

We moved to Berwyn in1980, and upon seeing the Y with 22 Tennis courts (at that time) and multiple swimming pools, decided to build a house near this Y. We still live within 8 min drive of UMLY.

Both my wife an I enjoy using the fitness center. The Y has updated all the equipment since the Covid pandemic and they keep them clean and maintained in good order.

Extensive facilities.

In Berwyn - I am not happy about having to pay extra for the 50 meter pool. I have been a UMLY member for over40 years and I split my time between Berwyn and Massachusetts. I hate that I use the Y part-time and then I need to pay extra for something that was always included.

There seems to be something for EVERYONE!

I think everyone did a great job with the camp this year. We have gone other years. My two children, boys 8 1/2 and 5 1/2 years old, attended the last two weeks of June. The things I like about the camp: adult to children ratio is very good, variety of activities, much improved car drop off, value for cost. The things that I don’t like about the camp: zero feedback about my children. In this day and age with apps/technology at our fingertips, I feel like there is a way that that could be improved upon. For example, whoever the assigned counselor to your child’s group is could fill out a checklist app about their daily progress with a freestyle comment or two (or even twice a week progress would be satisfactory). For example, my son refused to go swimming the entire time he was there, but I never got any feedback as to why (loves to swim otherwise).

It will be nice if there is an indoor track for hot summer days like the last few weeks.

Proactive and timely communication. Appreciate the mix of physical and cognitive activities. I wish there was some sort of app where the counselors could share photos of the kids activities or know more about their day, since my 4 & 6 year old don’t share a lot of detail.

The well trained and caring staff! The overall quality of the attitude to make sure everyone has the best possible experience. Thanks Y for providing the entire community with a safe environment..

UMLY summer camp is phenomenal. My daughters love it. They make new friends, have so much fun and really enjoy the counselors. The special activities are fantastic and keeps things from being monotonous. The Kona truck this year is great, though very expensive when paying for 3 kids for an entire summer. They really look forward to it, and with how hot this summer has been, it’s been helpful to cool them off.

The relationships formed with both campers and counselors are amazing. Thank you camp UMLY!

Great program even better people!

The number and scope of different activities available for the kids and the encouragement from the counselors! From nature walks and education, plays/sketches, swimming, pickleball, arts and crafts, a variety of outdoor games, to lots of music there was an activity there for every different interest. The counselors also played a huge part in fostering friendships with and among the campers. My son’s counselors from previous years all remembered him and made a point of finding him and greeting him by name this year. Great team.

Great community Ymca. Love everything from all the classes, camps programs. Staff is amazing. Always welcoming at the front desk and helpful to answer all questions.

My son loved the camp! It was great experience for him and for us, the parents. He loved the swimming, the sports, the themed weeks, the arts, the kona water ice. It is great that YMCA is organizing this great experience for the kids in our community!

Personally, I have transitioned from MEDICARE RX ( $$ ) to treatment with Y trainers. Doing well.

Variety of programs.

The only program I use at your branch is the tennis program, which is excellent.

Variety and availability.

Group exercises and the gym. However, most of the time I have not been able to find someone to help me with new equipment at the gym.

Comprehensive

WE LOVE GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES AND PERSONAL TRAINING SESSIONS. WE'D LIKE TO GO TO THE POOL BUT WE ARE NOT TOO KEEN ON GOING TO THE z POOL ESPECIALLY AFTER THE CAMPERS HAVE PEED IN IT. WE HAVE YET TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE PICKLE BALL AND TENNIS COURTS; SOMEDAY SOON. WE THINK HAVING GROUP CLASSES FOR PEOPLE LIKE MY SON WHO HAS AUTISM WOULD BE A HUGE PLUS. OR FAMILY GROUP EXERCISE SO WE COULD GO TOGETHER. WE LOVE OUR PERSONAL TRAINER MAX! IT WOULD BE NICE TO BUILD AN INDOOR TRACK OR INDOOR FIELDS/ TURF FOR LIKE SOCCER OR SOMETHING.

Excellent instructors and class offerings! Staff is very friendly and helpful! So far it seems pretty clean.
