The new lights in the gym are fantastic!
We have visited several YMCA's when traveling across the country. While most facilities are good and well-equipped, Platte County Community Center is a definite standout. Ample equipment, bright uplifting space, great childcare placement, excellent pools and lap lanes, and a wonderful offering of classes at convenient times throughout the day. We love our hometown Y in Parkville!
The class options are really good. I like the instructors. I also like the variety of cardio machines and the amount of free weights that are available. It's nice to have options.
We love our Platte County YMCA! We both regularly use the machines/gym facility and over the years have also taken advantage of group classes, youth swim lessons, recreational swimming at the pool, and kids zone. Our family is grateful to have this resource close by in our community!

The main reason that I tried the PCCCS was because of the times available for lap swimming. The pool was super easy to find. Many swim lanes were available, with extra equipment, like pull buoys and kick boards, available. If I could improve anything, it would be the cleanliness of the locker room. The fixtures were worn, the shower curtains mildewed, and one of the showers that I used had low pressure. Overall, a great experience though. The front desk service tried to help me, even when they didn't have the answer readily available.

My wife and I have been members since this YMCA openned and we like all the excersize options and classes.
The class instructors are good and make classes enjoyable as well as helpful.
Mimi and our daughter use a personal trainer, Rachel, and really like her.
My only suggestion is to have the sauna and steam room open more hours. They close to early.
The AOA is very active and a great program.
We are so pleased to have this YMCA in our community.
