Great teacher for Silver Sneakers—Kerri. She keeps us working with a fun and positive attitude. She is very knowledgeable and explains what each exercise is designed to strengthen and she also has great playlists!
Very disappointed that you have not found a new aqua zumba instructor. That class was my great exercise class. It's been 6 months. I think by now someone could teach that class for all the Y members to enjoy.

I used to like Brain Savers class so much but discontinued. I also enjoy Silver Sneakers and chair yoga. The instructor, Kerri is amazing.
The friending of the front staff, the instructors are fantastic, the cleanliness of the facility, the variety of classes and times, and lots of parking!

Platte County YMCA is awesome!
The staff is great the facilities are clean and well kept. The classes and workout options offer something for everyone and all ages. We have found everyone is friendly and helpful. Once are children had grown my wife and I found ourselves not involved in as many new groups. Now joining and participating in events at the YMCA we have made many new friends our age.
I like the friendly personnel at the entry desk. They always have a kind word in the morning. The people using the Y are also very friendly and nice. The facilities offer a wide range of equipment for use to complete your workout, and the machines are clean.
That I can play pickleball inside , no matter if is raining, hot or very cold
Everyone is welcome! It doesn’t matter your fitness level, socioeconomic status or age. The Y is a community center that truly lives its mission statement.
It has so many amenities in one place and staff and people there are friendly and kind. No one puts pressure on you to feel you must achieve a certain level.

I belong to the North community center. I like the pickleball community and the staff for the most part. I do have one huge problem. I donated $1000.00 at the beginning of 2026 and was told they would put up a banner promoting pickleball with name on it. Here it is almost August and still no banner. I have heard so many excuses why the banner is still not up. If the banner is not up by August 1st I will be asking for a $500 refund.

The swimming pool. Lap lanes are 25 meters. Changing facilities are clean. Variety of cardio equipment. I have used the weights or taken any classes at this location.
The prompt greeting and check in of the staff at the front desk. And the class instructors .. particularly Kerri (chair yoga, AOA core, silver sneakers). She is EXCELLENT. I actually live in NKC but travel to Platte County South location because of these reasons.
All the teachers are great, so helpfull. They have a wide variety of classes, yoga and swim fitness for example, and they have classes in the evenings after work and that's awesome.
I love the instructors they all add fun and spice to the classes.It seems to be excellent choices and times.I do miss a few of the body pump instructors that have not been teaching.Abigail Pilla is a great instructor I miss her not teaching and dont understand why shes not able to be a instructor anymore. Please bring her back.
