The Atchison Y does really well at providing a variety of classes for all ages and fitness levels. The machines are up to date, clean, and very well maintained. Training on the equipment is available for anyone needing it. Staff is friendly and caring.
I am impressed that the Y provides 2 weeks of swim lessons for all second graders in the county. This includes students in private schools and home schools as well as public schools.
Nice facility and staff members are very helpful. The ladies lockers need to be cleaned out as they are dirty. The ladies showers could use some cleaning attention as well. Other than that it's a great place!!

Fun place to exercise
For me since being diagnosed with a knee&leg disability &being told I'm not capable of doing physical therapy.l joined the YMCA they offered pool exercise classes &flat surface to walk on&work out equipment & healthy living coaches&clean&friendly place that helps more than what you may know
The people are always so friendly. When I try a new group workout or even if I am working out alone, I can always find a welcoming person to help me find my way. I am impressed with the ways the Atchison Y listens to the patrons and tries to help accommodate requests where they can. This Y is constantly trying to reach out to the youth of the community as well and really think outside the box for a variety of age groups. It is a wonderfully hospitable place to be!
