My daughter didn’t like math this year. She was struggling catching up after the pandemic. I took her to Mathnasium in Poway and to my surprise, she liked it! One of the instructors really connected with her and that helped. After each session she is proud to report what she did and she is looking forward to the next time she gets to go.
Mathnasium had been a tremendous help especially during the first weeks that the school was closed due to the pandemic. Since then I realized that my son will be needing more assistance with homework and Mathnasium was the best thing! He likes James and Laura a lot.
My daughter is 14 and really enjoys it there. She says the tutors are very helpful, and her grades have improved tremendously since starting at Mathnasium. Would recommend!

Our son really enjoys going there afterschool. He is eager to learn your learning materials and getting help from your tutors.
We have really enjoyed it- my son seems to have more confidence in math and he says its fun.
The only draw back is it is a little expensive, but we will stick with it for now. Thank you!

James and Alex are the coach that my kids talked about when they come home after the lessons. The non-competition approach definitely helps kids focus on learning instead of trying to pretend they know it in front of their peers.

Professional staff, my daughter loves attending mathnasium and they help a lot. So far it’s the best place for math in regards to helping with homework, advancing and the staff are always there to help. Thank you for everything you do for our kids to help them understand dove and love math

My daughter has been attending Mathnasium off and on for 5 years. The first few years she felt going to Mathnasium was torture. She hated math and the last thing she wanted was more math, though she really liked her tutors there. Virtual learning presents many challenges. A few weeks into the new school year, my now 8th grader asked if she could go back to Mathnasium. She just took a math test and got an A+! She has never got anything higher then a C on a math test. She is flying high and hates math just a smidgen less :-)

My daughter started here last year. She loves going to Mathnasium and feels more confident with her math. She has daily goals that she sets with an instructor and as "long as I try my best, I get stamps! Then they help me with the questions I missed, so I can be successful." It has provided a positive outlook on something that is challenging for her. During the school year, there were less tears about math and the difficulties. Her scores went up. She requested to go again this summer and we signed her up without hesitation. James, who runs the Poway establishment, is kind and compassionate. He works not only with helping the parents understand the program but also works directly with the kids. I would highly recommend Mathnasium to anyone who wants their child to feel more confident in their skills and to provide their child with more of a one on one type of program.
For my daughter to enjoy coming to Mathnasium is huge! She doesn’t understand math, doesn’t like it, and gets very frustrated with it. James is amazing and kind.
I love how the child writes what they learn about each time they are tutored and parents have to sign the form. Kids are motivated by the punch cards I like the individualized pinpoint math lessons.

Mathnasium of Poway has friendly and accommodating staff and teachers. The new owners have been welcoming and their experience as owners of other branches is beneficial to students and families. The facility is very clean, quiet and professional. My daughter has been attending for the past 4 weeks and absolutely loves coming to Mathnasium. Can't wait to see how her progress translates to this year's school year as a 5th grader.
