I finally se my daughter having fun learning math! She enjoys the method and says that for the first time things make sense to her. The one on one approach with enough time of theory, practice and homework explanation works very well so kids are not bored or overwhelmed.

Our daughter will be entering 5th grade and has always struggled with math. As a result, she has always disliked math. A couple of years ago, we regrettably had her enrolled in Kumon. Everything about Kumon was a constant battle - going to the sessions and especially the redundant homework problems. She had pages and pages of it. I honestly think it was a waste of money as our daughter didn't learn anything because they didn't teach her anything.
Ultimately we think it had a negative impact. After that awful experience, we decided to help her at home with websites recommended by the teachers that mirrored what was being taught in the classroom. Our daughter continued to struggle, especially on tests. We decided it was time for some real professional help. We were thinking of finding a tutor to come to our house, but that wouldn't really work with our random work schedules, sports activities, etc. After some research on Yelp, I decided to contact Mathnasium of Almaden. You can tell that the owners (David and Jennifer) are very involved in their business. This does make a real difference. The owners don't have an office in the back corner where they keep their doors closed. Instead, they have an office right at the heart of the learning center. We have experienced nothing but a professional and positive atmosphere at Mathnasium of Almaden - From the initial inquiry over the phone, to our initial meeting/math evaluation, to the tutoring sessions and instructors.
Our daughter absolutely loves going to Mathnasium...the instructors are very approachable and our daughter is not afraid to ask questions. We truly feel our daughter is learning something. It is such a fun and welcoming environment. The flexible schedule works great with our busy schedules. They even have neat incentives for the kids and fun summer activities to keep the kids motivated to doing some math during summer break! Mathnasium is a win-win for us!

Aria seems to enjoy going into Mathnasium sessions which is a huge plus. I am yet to see her progress in school since it has only been a few weeks since she started. But so far I am happy with her enthusiasm to going into Mathnasium :-)
I had my older daughter go to Mathnasium and I feel it really helped her build a solid foundation. Now I have my younger daughter going and she feels very comfortable with the pace and the approach. As a parent I feel they always answer any questions I might have and help with figuring out the stufent’s weaknesses and help them become stronger with that content.
Our son just loves going to Mathnasium and telling me what he learned in each session. He looks forward to going and is encouraged to continue working by the incentives to earn more points and prizes. The instructors are great with kids and encourage the kids to learn more while presenting math in a way that keeps them intersted and excited about learning. Thank you!
My son is really progressing , he had a free trial in another place and told me it felt more like a Homework center while at Mathnesium he is really learning the basics , and the assessment helped a lot in identifying his points of weakness and working on it .

Like the staff and owner. Located in good location where I can get errands done while kids are in session. Like that the waiting area has wifi and chairs for parents to work while waiting.
