My daughter actually enjoys coming to Mathnasium! Thank you for making it fun for her to learn. She loves the opportunity to accumulate tickets and "buy" things. She's very reward driven and this is perfect for her. She is learning math in a way that we weren't sure was possible. Thank you!
My daughter has been attending Mathnasium for one year.
She started the summer after her 5th grade year. She was struggling in math and felt
very defeated and frustrated. She had ZERO interest in attending Mathnasium and grumbled every time she had to go.
She had gaps in her math going back to 3rd/4th grade.
Over the past year she has worked very hard at Mathnasium filling those gaps and has leveled up twice.
She is now completing 6th grade material as she finishes her 6th grade year. She willingly goes as she has been able to see the fruits of her labor. Her confidence in math has improved greatly.
She is currently being tested in SAGE math (end of year testing) and said to me 'I think I'm doing pretty well on my math SAGE this year. It actually makes sense now.'

About halfway through her 2nd grade year, we discovered that our daughter was severely behind in math- she tested at a kindergarten level. We immediately tried to find ways to help her catch up. We tried a popular math tutoring company (Kumon) and were dismayed that it was like a torture chamber for children that only increased our daughter's dislike of math in the four short weeks she attended. Then we discovered Mathnasium. As soon as we walked in we felt like we had found our daughter's math home. It was bright and inviting, every single employee seemed happy to be there, and students were happily working one-on-one with instructors. We signed her up the same day and have never looked back. In a little over a year she has gone from a Kindergarten level to being on level with her 3rd grade peers. She looks forward to her Mathnasium sessions, especially when she gets to work with Mattie! We have also left the days of her crying over math homework behind us. She is able to do most of her homework with little help and she gets genuinely excited when she masters a new concept. Mathnasium is one of the best things we've done for our daughter!

We are fairly new to the Mathnasium experience..... but after only one month, my son has a new attitude about math. He enjoys going to Mathnasium 2-3 times per week. It is easy to schedule. The staff/"tutors" are friendly, approachable and so far, seem to be effective. We will definitely continue this program!
It has helped my son tremendously with his confidence. His Math homework is much easier for him to do now. Even when he doesn't want to go, he comes out smiling!
Mathnasium is very successful at addressing individual student needs and we have been very happy with the program. The instructors are very experienced, attentive, and go the extra mile to make sure that each child's needs are met.
Excellent coaching. My son is starting to understand point slope problems. Coaching is non judgemental and tailored to my son's learning style. He leaves the coaching session with less frustration, and is happier than when coached at home.
Easy scheduling and my child comes away happy every time!
My son has a much more positive attitude about Math; I think he feels like he is not the worst kid in class. He is also very proud of the rewards that he earns while at Mathnasium.
However, even with all these positive elements......This does not mean that we do not have to fight to get him to do homework.
We are very happy with our daughters experience at Mathnasium. She is more confident and enjoying math since starting.
My daugther was having a hard time with her homework she was very stressful and she hated math before and after the first week going to mathasium school she was able to do her homework by her self and now her favorite class is math she loves and really enjoy having class in Magnesium school
My son has loved going to mathnasium, they definitely have helped him make learning math fun!
My child has improved so much since starting Mathnasium! He loves the punch card reward system which helps to motivate going 3 times a week. However, the only minor draw back is the candy/soda that he chooses after class. I would prefer less sugar choices.
Staff atNsthnssium have always been incredibly helpful and easy to work with. My kids love coming here three days a week and cannot wait to sign up for an additional year of excellent math help. My kids have both excelled in math and special math programs in Ways I would never have imagined! !

As a child, I struggled with math, so much so, that it made my life stressful and very constrained in my choices of occupations. I learned the beauty of it’s workings much later in life. So, as my son started experiencing the same struggles, without blinking an eye, we enrolled him in Mathnasium. Years later, and a lot invested, we now see our son as the top, go-to student in his math class!! He told me yesterday that he has started to finish his classwork quickly, so he can help others with their struggles. I am completely and totally at a loss for words. The best investment, hands down!

My son Mark (3rd grade) had recently been struggling with understanding math. That’s when homework became unbearable for both of us. I knew it was time to seek help, I felt desperate to change his negative attitude around about Math. I had no idea what Mathnasium was but I knew it was right around the corner from us so I thought why not check it out, we had nothing to loose. Now, since attending Mathnasium Mark has been working their program and understanding the concepts he missed in school. Its so nice not to hear the usual negative comments about math or see things scribbled in his homework sheets. His actions and attitude clearly showed he was not understanding but he was unable to say just that. Mathnasium clearly explains and sets up his personal course for filling in the math concepts he missed in school. I’m impressed with their program and their approach, the work setting is comfortable for him and he’s able to see it’s not “just him”’not understanding math, it’s all ages getting the individual help they need If you feel like I’m describing your child, you’re not alone. And no, I do not work for Mathnasium , I’m a mother sharing our sucessful results about the Mathnasium program. My last word of advice would be to get help sooner than later before your child’s bad habits become their new routine.
My granddaughter loves going to Mathnasium! She wants to go every day. She was two years behind her grade level when she started a year ago but is now where she should be. I’m afraid to take her out in case she slips back again. She was at the point where she wasn’t even trying she was so far out of her depth. Now she is confident and loving math. Thank you everyone at Sugar House Mathnasium! It’s the best investment I ever made.
Our daughter had been managing fine in math until last year, fifth grade. It all fell apart and she became extremely frustrated. We were not making progress at home and even tried in-home tutors. We decided to give Mathnasium a try. This was not her choice to attend Mathnasium and she fought us every inch of the way.
She has now been attending sessions for the past 4 months and I no longer hear complaining.
We just had her parent teacher conference and she wrote on her own assessment 'I'm feeling more confident in Math!' We still have some work to do but she is finally making strides in the right direction.

Mathnasium has beyond exceeded my expectations for both my kids. They are both excelling in math way beyond their respective grade levels and loving it! The staff are so kind and easy to work with and the center directors are really accommodating and flexible. My only regret is that we didn't find Mathnasium sooner!
Mattie and First name removed have always been friendly and easy to work with. Mattie is on top of keeping me, my MIL and my daughter's teacher involved in my daughter's progress. My daughter seems to enjoy her time there and is definitely learning.
This is a great way for children to learn math and practice every day what they are learning.
We love Mathnasium! it has made our daughter more sure of herself and improved her grades in math a lot. Wish it had been around when I was a kid!
Sugarhouse Mathnasium is very organized. The instructors were pretty helpful, Which was much appreciated after coming from Kumon. I received progress reports regularly which were helpful.
Excellent math help Because of the fun and knowledgeable instructors and amazing administrative staff. They always welcome us with a smile and answer all questions or problems with registration or classes. My daughter's math grades are A's because of the summer help we take advantage of every year.
