I do believe that math is just like anything else -- if you spend time practicing you're going to get better at it. Even though my husband was a math major we still find it frustrating to teach our own children! There is something about having a peer set outside the home and a structured reward system to keep them going. I have recommended a friend who's daughter was struggling in math and she is now enrolled at your location.
Our daughter started at such a disadvantage well below her grade level and Mathnasium was able to not only catch her back up but help her to enjoy it. We never had to make her go, she always asked to sign up for sessions. And you were able to proctor her credit recovery exam which was an absolute blessing. My daughter thinks it's fun
Mathnasium has made my kids SO confident in their math and science skills! Both my kids are getting an “A” in math and are doing math skills way above their grade level. They enjoy coming and really enjoy getting to know the staff. The administrators are very easy to work with and could not be more accommodating.

My daughter started Mathnasium at a 2nd grade Math level in 5th grade. She is now receiving A's in Math and will be in honors Math in 8th grade. Mathnasium has made a huge impact on her confidence and skills.
Mathnasium has been a positive experience for my son . We’ve been attending a little over a year, he has noticed in class (4th grade) that he’s able to answer math questions before others which he’s never been able to do before. The Director s Andrea Kaplan and Lindsey Webb have been so patient with helping my son learn and it continues to pay off for all that he’s gained. They provide his in depth progress charts every couple of months showing the concepts he has mastered as well as aconcepts that he is currently working on. I would highly recommend their program to anyone whose child is struggling with math, the program is fun and they help teach with understanding not memorization. I’m so thankful for the Mathnasium program and their dedicated instructors.

Good environment, easy scheduling
We LOVE it!
My sixth grade son has been attending Mathnasium at SugarHouse for approximately 6 months now. I have seen his attitude about math change markedly during this time. He is now confident that he can keep up with his peers in what was formerly his most daunting subject. And, he actually seems to enjoy attending his Mathnasium sessions!
Mathnasium has been such a big help to my son with teaching him concepts that he missed during second grade. He has been attending Mathnasium for a year, and just last week he’s was so excited to tell me he was the first one in class to answer the teachers math question and also the first one to complete the written equation. He was able to acknowledge “thanks to Mathnasium!” We have been so very pleased with the instructors, they're personable feedback with our sons progress as well as updates to his school teacher have been a such an important support . We recently came in contact with 2 friends whose children were experiencing the same struggles that our son was experiencing before attending Mathnasium, without a doubt Im very happy to refer them to Mathnasium.
As a parent, there is nothing worse than watching your child struggle with learning math and you see their frustration and tears develope into a negative attitude.

My son loves the environment and the tutors at Mathnasium
Excellent math help making my 15 year-old daughter feel very confident about her math skills as a sophomore in high school. She enrolls with you every summer and it has helped her retain what she learned during the previous school year and gives her more confidence for the upcoming school year.
