Melissa is so responsive and such a wonderful director/teacher!

The director of Mathnasium, Melissa Loupeda, and her staff rise above to meet my son’s needs. He has autism-based language difficulties, which can sometimes mask his “typical” cognitive skills.
They see past that in a way his school programs have not in order to teach him at his level. For example, they use on-the-spot visual supports for orders of operation and long division. He has flourished, working comfortably several grade levels above where he is registered at school.
He absolutely loves Mathnasium and wants to go for extra sessions!!

Melissa is a class act. She is responsive, patient, efficient, thoughtful, proactive and very receptive to feedback. We have had some less than positive experiences with certain tutor but I have always felt able to tell Melissa direct and know that she trusts us not to kick up a fuss without good reason. I’m sure it’s hard to retain good tutors and sometimes there is a maturity issue with some of the tutors we have had but if we are with Melissa for the session, I always know my daughter will get a quality experience.

I’m very happy to suggest Mathnasium because you learn without pressure, following your own path! You can be very fast on one topic but take longer on a different one! The learning process is personalized without feeling the peer pressure. You are in completion only with yourself and you can decide to invest in the learning curve as much time as you want finding the right balance between math, school, extra curricular activities etc…

My son has excelled in math at school. He has gained confidence, the ability to exercise his ability to formulate math problems by using the strategies the tutors have taught him, and has brought his grade up to As and Bs. He has been able to work on staying focused and being responsible for his assignments.

Both my daughters have benefited from the excellent teaching provided by Mathnasium. We went from an anxious, “I hate Math” to a rather confident, “I helped my friend understand a math problem at school today!” Thank you!

The math is the right level for my son.

We’ve had a great experience! Our girls never fuss about going, they have fun there, and are learning a lot. They’re getting more math practice than what school alone provides.

Mathnasium has been a great add-on to my son's school work. He struggles with retention a little bit so this extra work every week has helped him strengthen his understanding of the subject matter and increase his confidence. The tutors are great with him. Very patient and look for multiple ways to explain a problem. The after session feedback is very helpful in knowing what I need to work with him at home.

Harry really enjoys going and working on math skills in a fun and relaxed setting. He also can get help with his homework if needed. He is happy to go and enjoys the sessions.

Our daughters have greatly benefited from expertly tailored tutoring sessions. The online option and ease with scheduling has helped fold math help seamlessly into their lives. Our experience at Mathnasium as been great. My children have built skills. But more importantly to us, they've built confidence in math and interest in math, that really drives the rest. My daughter always has a great time and actually we have already recommended friends. Also my daughter always comes home with a big smile and a great story to tell. She has learned a ton from Mathnasium - it is amazing how much she has learned over time. Her confidence has increased and her love for math is just as strong as ever. The instructors are so supportive and approachable. We have NOTHING to complain about - only to rave about!

My 4th grader and 6th grader, different types of learners, are both benefitting from Mathnasium’s program. My 6th grader started Mathnasium to fill some gaps and in less than 6mos, he has addressed the gaps and is now working on concepts ahead of his school curriculum. He is mastering concepts more quickly. My 4th grader is a visual learner. Mathnasium instructors quickly picked up on his learning style and work so well with him. I also like that they provide links to lessons on ixl to work on at home to reinforce concepts. Highly recommend Mathnasium!

The flexibility in scheduling is very helpful to us! My son finds it a valuable use of his time to supplement his school work.

Our daughter has loved coming to mathnasium. It is a great balance of learning without too much homework. She has enjoyed all of her instructors and finds they help her stay ahead of school math.
