I have found the kids like going to Mathnasium. The thing I like the most is the ability of the Mathnasium staff to motivate kids and teach them to enjoy math learning.

One thing I would like to see more of, is to engage/prepare kids for math competitions of various sorts, i.e. kangaroo, mathematical society exams etc

Bottom line my son enjoys it and actually asked if he could go an additional day a week!

My kids are loving their experience with Mathnasium. However, they are struggling with one teacher. They feel that she is too critical and makes them feel "stupid" instead of encouraged like the rest of the teachers. They give an example of missing a problem or not understanding a problem/concept and the teacher's response is "We just went over that. You should know that." It's one teacher and their friends have the same feeling about it. All the other teachers are very positive and help my kids have a great experience and love math.

Kids seem to like it better then other math programs we've tried.

WE love the atmosphere at mathnasium. No pressure, the kids feel comfortable and are eager to come in.
The learning takes them from their individual level and builds from there.

It is helping the kids build they confidence with their math skills.

Our daughter enjoys working with Jess and Carolyn. We like Mathnasium because of the personal attention out daughtrr gets and the fpr having the flexibility of rescheduling the class. I just wished the Wellesley branch was open on Sun morning as well.
