Helpful staff , friendly and always helpful
Very friendly gym that doesn't attract the riff raff like other gyms do, the staff are polite and always greet you.
The equipment is good but there is machines that I would get rid of and put others in there place which I'm sure alot of members would agree.
Looking forward to the new pool but it's unfortunate that it doesn't link to the spa I know this isn't possible but using the spa after a swim is always a good finish.
Friendly and helpful staff, who have worked hard to keep us sane & safe by maintaining appropriate procedures while keeping facilities up and running. Good mix of gym equipment available, at a reasonable membership cost. Good communication provided on latest updates (changes to rules, guidance etc.).

I've only been once but was very impressed. I did zumba with Jade. It was brilliant. The room was so airy and cool. I have booked a few more now as hadn't been before.
It is very well organised, staff are friendly and helpful and through out the Covid restrictions they have been fantastic
I only go to the gym but I enjoy it and the person in charge is friendly and helpful. 9 is because everybody can improve.

The reception and gym staff are very welcoming and polite. I like the booking in for the time slot. And looking forward to using the new swimming pool.
Active Medlock seem to be doing all they can to give the public their much valued swims and fitness classes etc. It is much appreciated.
With only a limited swim time of 45 mins it was appreciated that we were allowed in a few mins early to get changed. I was usually able to get a swim slot that suited me (unlike the wellness centre where there's never enough slots).
Staff were always helpful in spite of the extra workload of cleaning. Their efforts are appreciated by me at least.

I've felt totally safe with the systems in place & lane swimming has worked well to make sure there's enough space for everyone to have a good swim.

Lane Swimming arrangements have been great during the pandemic. All staff are always helpful.
I am worried about ventilation in the gym and particularly in the dance studio during group exercise, often the air conditioning is not working or is not turned on. But the main issue is the lack of windows/doors to open to get fresh air in.
I have decided while COVID rates are so high to avoid the cardio group exercise classes, which are excellent, due to ventilation. It was starting to make me feel worried and uncomfortable
