Mathnasium in McKinney has been an excellent source for tutoring for my grand daughter in Math. She lost a little ground in her school Math, and needed some private tutoring.
Mathnasium tested her, identified exactly where she needed to start, created a project spreadsheet for her and is catching her up lesson by lesson for 7th grade Math. They even are doing a “hybrid” schedule over the summer.
Along with the positive and (fun) Math learning techniques used, the tutors have gone over and beyond to help her. They even called and asked to keep her for an extra hour to help prepare her for a Math test. There was not a charge for the extra hour, just Mathnasium going over and beyond to support their student.
The weekly feedback has been thorough and positive. The Director Candy is an absolute “gem” of a person. She loves Math and wants every student to work to their potential. Her communication skills with the students, as well as, the adults is excellent. We all are extremely pleased with every faction of Mathnasium. I would highly recommend any student struggling or needing an extra boost to enroll at Mathnasium.

We love Mathnasium. The teachers and staff are very knowledgeable and make learning fun.
We wish the summer hours had more options during the day or weekends (like last summer). We have 3 kids enrolled and would love to come earlier in the day.
Our 13-year-old granddaughter has increased her skills and comfort with math above her grade level.
Very pleased so far. Mathnasium is a great resource to help teach kids advanced math (algebra+) and complement what they’re learning in school to help them achieve their goals. Great instructors at Jett Ferry location and the manager is very positive and attentive! Wish we had started at an earlier age.
Pros: My son loves going. The environment is nice. They have great teachers. He is learning, is challenged and his test scores have improved. Brandon is great, always there to answer questions and a great communicator.
Cons: the hours and days they are open, not being open Friday/saturday/Sunday just adds more to do during the busy week. I wish they offered morning summer sessions, At least offered 1x a week morning session. I’m unsure about the new website for booking classes. I liked that they had an app version and now I have to remember a website to sign up for classes.
My daughter's confidence has improved and she likes learning Math. She just wish that point system was a little easier. She has been going for a few years. She misses Ms. Becky and Ms. Wendy but still feels comfortable there.
Good environment, good staff and teachers; my son loves attending his lessons, especially to get the candies :).
For betterment, if you can give monthly feedback to parents on students' improvement, then it will help them to guide at home as well, especially for high school kids.
It is a great reinforcement of math skills learned at each grade level.

Our son has had a great time at Mathnasium. He uses it to extend his learning from school, where the teaching is more limited. He really enjoys going and loves working with the teachers. The staff has been very flexible with scheduling as well. We will definitely continue!

My child really enjoys Mathnasium West U! The instructors do a fantastic job of engaging younger students while helping them develop strong foundational math skills. Our goal in enrolling wasn’t focused on academic scores, but rather on cultivating a positive mindset and genuine interest in math—and Mathnasium has definitely helped us achieve that. The director and staff communicate well with parents, keeping us informed about our child's progress. The curriculum is both fun and educational, effectively building logical thinking and confidence in math. We would definitely recommend Mathnasium West U.
My daughter is a softmore and had some gaps in her math for the last several years.
Mathnasium did a diagnostic test for her, made a plan and started working on that. It was really helpful and the teachers worked not only of what my girl was missing but also she could bring her home work , got help before quizzes and tests.
She got much stronger and more confident in her math skills.
She was always good with math but didn't have a confidence Mathnasium helped her buld that.
She ended up the year very strong.
Also Kristen is very easy to work with, kind, responsive and very flexible , always available if we had to reschedule or change the class. My daughter loves the teachers and the way of teaching. Super happy!

Chris is a great Center Director. He's created a great environment for my daughter - math is not a subject she likes but Mathnasium has made it enjoyable for her. It's a place that brings the right balance of preparing her as well as pushing her to the next level. Just wish I had decided to sign her up sooner!

We signed up for the Unlimited Classes program this summer, and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made. My child really enjoys the classes, and all the teachers are kind and supportive. The director explains everything clearly and helps identify and improve areas where my child needs support. We feel very confident and grateful to be part of this program!
