The place is well-organized, clean, and easy to find. I had the pleasure of taking Kassandra's class and really appreciated how, towards the end, she came over to each of us and gave a few minutes of massage on our necks, shoulders, and arms. The staff are wonderful and I get an amazing workout with each instructor.
WC CPY is amazing.
My only suggestion would be more midday (12:15) YS classes (Tuesday and Thursday donât have one).
Also, Carolynâs class should be the template for all teachers. She is hands down, one of the best YS instructor I have ever practiced with. I wish every CPY class was like hers. Great music, high heat, intense, fun, all the things it should be.

Very good ambiance, coaches and the music is amazing every time. The training is always very good and works well with core training of mind and body. I have been part of CorePower Yoga as a member in the past and done extensive training which significantly toned my body along with cardiovascular fitness, along with mindfulness. Listen, CPY Walnut Creek is fantastic and an excellent representation of the larger CPY experience.
However, corporate leans to heavily on instructors. Each instructor does a fantastic job of prepping for class, facilitating class, and setting the tone for the end of class. However, to expect instructors to then clean not only the studio but the locker rooms and common areas is a bit much. With the cost of monthly membership, I don't think that it is unreasonable to have professional cleaners come to the studio once per week to establish a baseline of clean and sanitation that a paid janitorial team could support on a daily basis.
Additionally, maintenance matters go far too long without being attended to. Staff struggled with the door for months and now the heat...and before that it was the water filtration system. Corporate offices have to support studios. After all, we know that good instructors have no shortage of options.

I love Saturday morning class with Victor! He pushes us and itâs a real hot class with intense heat and a really good flowing pace. Itâs fantastic for those yogis who have been practicing for years who need a greater challenge but havenât found it in other classes. I also love that itâs early so that I can get back home as my kids are waking up for Saturday. Please have more intense heat and extra challenging classes like these throughout the week!!
I am new to CorePower yoga. The instructors are amazing, always providing challenging workouts. They are supportive and want to push you to be the best version of yourself. I'm hooked for life!
