It's a warm, caring environment where you're encouraged not competing. Only a healthy competition exists, if anything. Mostly everyone is in their own "zone", doing what they can in their body - and that's what is taught - not everyone's body is the same so don't compare, just do what you can because there are always alternate moves and accommodations.
when i go to a HPF class, or a C-2, i go for the heat. so many studios lately have been keeping the doors open for too long, thereby negating the 'HOT' of HPF. Same with C-2's. I Understand people get overheated, but then maybe they should gradually build up to the heat. I want to get beat to death in my hot classes! Skin is like your third kidney: it puts out so many toxins when you sweat. I don't mean to be selfish, but what I crave and benefit from is the heat, the uncomfortable postures you do, and the struggle to not quit. Even though I thought it was kinda cheesy when i first heard an instructor say, if you can manage the difficulty and discomfort on your mat, it translates to how you deal with things off the mat. I have never heard/experienced such a profound dif in my life as that. I have learned to choose my 'battles', and let the small stuff go. Please keep the hot classes hot, and please have the San Diego studios make available the Hot Yoga classes. (half Bikram). I used to do Bikram, but you had to accommodate their limited schedules, whereas being a Black Tag member, I am able to avail myself to all the SD studios, and I also love the variety of classes, the individuals that teach the classes, and the myriad benefits from all of them. Thank you!
I really enjoy the studio and teachers! The classes are great and different. I only wish the morning class was a little earlier, st 530, so I could make it.

Aron is a fantastic instructor who is very passionate and caring. I really enjoy taking his yoga sculpt classes!
That instructors give suggestions for greater and lesser challenging poses and modification tips for those with an injury.

Very clean studio and immaculate locker room. I especially love the locker setup with some open cubes for stuff.
