Very friendly staff and nice facilities

Everyone is friendly and eager to help you improve your practice. Some studios (not in Dallas) have a sense of Hierarchy, like if you can't throw a headstand or hold crow for like 30 minutes, you aren't to be taken seriously as a yogi. At Mockingbird, the instructors do a great job welcoming everyone in from all skill levels and yoga backgrounds. They prioritize learning your name and encouraging you in what you do well, rather than just focusing on where you need to grow. Practicing at Mockingbird makes you feel like you really are joining your friends to do something you all love. The warm and welcoming community unique and it keeps people coming back.

I've never practiced yoga at a studio before (I follow a lot of youtube yogis and have taken a class in college), so I was both eager and nervous to do so - especially since I chose a hot yoga class. But this was the experience of a lifetime - I struggle with a lot of anxiety and felt completely at peace and capable by the end of the session because of Katrina's soothing, yet powerful guiding. That connection between mind, body, and spirit is what yoga is all about, but not something I'd been fortunate enough to experience before.

First impressions were great- the employees made me feel at ease and welcome from when I first entered. The decor is also mindful of creating a constructive environment for self improvement both in mind and body- it was very aesthetically pleasing and nothing lacked function. Locker rooms were convenient, clean, and all around a good and comfortable place to prepare for yoga. Studios were not small but also not huge, making the experience intimate. I honestly can't say enough great stuff about this studio. The instructor (Brittany) facilitates a perfect flow and is very professional while maintaining a warm presence. She helped me get the most out of every pose- as a beginner I really appreciated it.

Everyone was very welcoming! I was very nervous to get back into yoga after having a baby 3 months ago. The staff and manager were so kind to me and encouraged me to try classes I didn't even think I could do. Such confidence boosters! It's a great studio! The trainers are fantastic. They are mindful of individuals needs and goals while maintaining high quality expertise and accuracy in their ability to challenge pupils. All the trainers I've have maintain composure within their practice and enlighten those they teach.

The teachers are very approachable to students of all levels at CPY. When I attend classes at CPY, I am not only connecting with the teacher, but also with the other students of the class. Some of the teachers have done a very good job of fostering these connections during and after class.

It's a great venue which happens to be near the office but most importantly the ladies who teach are so professional and encouraging.
