The instructors and the type of yoga, the space, the number of times and classes particularly early morning and late classes
What could be improved - more personalized experience, yoga teachers wanting to know your name. I’ve been going consistently for 12 months to instructors classes, and while they are great it would be nice if they asked your name, rather than being the one that has to ask the questions or help.
I feel the quality of instructors has reduced a great deal since I first joined a few years ago. Great instructors like Alice Scott, Tali and Bianca are very knowledgeable and truly care and educate students but for example Alice was taken off the fri night class and now I can only get one of her classes in the mornings. Please can we have more classes at night of Alice .
It also doesn’t look great when a instructor is a student in a class and complains! I’ve been in a few classes when Charlotte was a student and she kept commenting on exercise. Due to this attitude I will never take her classes. Students don’t do this so why should a instructor. It shows no respect to the instructor of the class.
I also had a different instructor say to me ‘’I don’t care’’ when I said an exercise didn’t feel right. I didn’t expect that kind of attitude coming from an instructor, I would have rather her explain the exercise clearly as maybe I was doing it incorrectly. Due to this I will never go back to that instructor ever again.
Please can you put Bianca back on the fri night classes, she’s fantastic and really build that class up to be full all the time. Please please please can we have a good teacher on the Sunday afternoon flow classes.
I am starting to think about moving to a different studio due to the above and not great instructors being on fri and sun arvo / nights. This is the only times I can go.
Møre ventilation in the room.
I only go to one class and it is with Christian who is such a brilliant instructor. I have already recommended the class and have had a few friends come along and also love it.
Clean, friendly teachers and students, great booking system. Enjoyable reformer classes.
Teachers
Tech friendly
Friendly and knowledged instructors
Lovely location
But unfortunately, hard to accommodate classes continuously with few injuries.
Everything is amazing. Only recommendation point would be to able to use the yoga mats in the classes without the $2 fee, considering the price point of the classes.
Great verandah to relax before. Great yin yoga instructor
Clean space, good lighting. Professional. Many classes to find a convenient time.
Well it’s only 3 days but the studio is true to its word. Very inclusive of all types and made to feel very welcome. It is so true at other establishments that if you don’t conform to the standard you just won’t come back. All I want is a place to get better at Pilates and keep myself moving. The hardest part is the early morning wake up.
Classes are great and venues are nice
The last few times I've been I've found the classes very crowded and it's difficult to find space.
I would also like to see some later evening classes.
Thanks for asking. The class and teacher (this past Monday at 5:15 on at Surry Hills) was really great. The reason I gave my score of 6 is because the signing up process was disappointing. It isn’t made explicit on signing up for the intro pass that mats can be borrowed so I ended up paying much more than I needed to. It would be helpful to know that mats can be borrowed on the pass select page. I paid an additional $50 for the mat and then had to pay an additional $50 for the cover to leave it at the studio. It felt like I had been conned into an additional $100. It’s a lot of money. If I feels disingenuous. If one customer feels like this maybe others would also and it may deter them from signing on longer term. I hope this feedback is helpful.
Teachers
clean change rooms, friendly yoga teachers, ppl are nice/ not judgemental
Everything! The location is great, easy parking, beautiful big Yoga space with view of trees, great teachers. Thank you!!!
The yoga studio space is not a quiet space for you to relax prior to class. The balcony door is open, people talking on their phones in the studio and overall quite disruptive. Calming music would be of benefit to walk into and clear your mind. Also a sign up stating no phones and quiet voices after this point.
Great teachers
The space is fantastic and Vicky is a very good teacher.
I live in redfern and love this venue. Would be great to have a few more day/afternoon classes on the Friday and weekend. And ari has not left his Tuesday night class which is very sad. His classes were always full. Would be great if he could keep these classes but with an earlier time slot. He’s mostly at bondi now which is to far to travel for those of us who do his weekly sometimes twice weekly classes in redfern/Surry Hills.
Redfern studio is a lovely space, close walk to the train station and loads of parking early in the morning
Friendly staff. Clean and modern space, good bathroom facilities.
Excellent teachers
Friendly teachers and good atmosphere
It’s such a beautiful peaceful room 🙏🧘♀️
The classes are really packed and I sometimes find it hard to hear instructors. Perhaps limit the numbers in yoga, like you do for Pilates?
The drinking water also often runs out.
One of the biggest gripes I’ve heard is the large mirror in the women’s changing room means that when the door is opened, people outside can see.
Everything! Love the teachers, love the space, love BML. I recommend all my clients!
I have been unwell and I requested to back date my class suspension however I was given the wrong email and then someone at the desk was rather rude to me while saying this was jot possible.
Also the 6.30 am yoga open classes are not daily. Tuesdays is yoga essential which is more basic. The yoga studio is smaller than Surry Hills and people really spread out so there's no space left. In Surry Hills the yoga instructor asks people to move closer to others can have space to join the class.

Very friendly
