I placed a custom order with another Cookies by Design location a month before it was to be sent. When I followed up with both the store and corporate headquarters, the service I received was horrible. The store said they would call me back to discuss the order because the person who took the order quit. No one called my back after I left multiple messages (for 3 days) as the delivery date was then only one business day way. The store manager and the person I spoke with at corporate were rude, obnoxious, not helpful. It was a terrible experience. At this point I would have never worked with this company again but the order was something I planned on for months and was very special. On my own, I contacted the Evansville location and worked with Kelci. She was AMAZING. She was absolutely professional and worked with me to ensure my custom order was taken and delivered on time. She even sent me a picture of the order before sending it out. Kelci should lead customer service classes for the other stores and most definitely the corporate office. If anyone needs to order cookies in the Chicago area, I recommend only working with the Evansville store. Kelci got my order right on super short notice, was incredible to work with and deserves recognition for going above and beyond. She, single handedly, ensured Cookies by Design did not lose a customer (I order an average 4-5 baskets a year). THANK YOU KELCI FOR ACCOMODATING MY ORDER ON SHORT NOTICE AND FOR PROVIDING INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
