What do you like about our restaurant?

Atmosphere feels very European- small and quaint with tight spaces and lots of shuffling between servers and guests. Some may find this distracting but we loved the cozy feel of the place. The food was excellent- we had the homemade ricotta, grilled calamari, and Caesar salad to start- then we enjoyed the bolognese and the mushroom ragu, both of which the pasta was cooked perfectly and the truffle oil in the mushroom ragu was just the right amount so it wasn’t too overpowering. Our server, Richard, was wonderful- didn’t hover, took great care of us, and provided good suggestions from the menu. We were celebrating our anniversary but we will definitely be back to enjoy dinner before waiting for a special occasion!

La Tavola is our go-to neighborhood Italian restaurant for special occasions, or just casual dinners with friends. The food and service are always exceptional, and it's walking distance from our house.

For the first time, we were not crazy about a dish....scallops with risotto - mushy and bland. Basically a lump.
