I will say that when my food was served I knew there had to be a new chef. The dish was greasy and not as well prepared as I always expect. The Tagliatelle Bolognese has been what I order most times since you first opened. The current chef could use some lessons from the last chef or the chef that was there before 2003, when I moved to New Orleans.

I moved to VA and I terribly miss La Tavola. One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. Keep up the great work. I even consider you guys on the same tier as a lot of NYC Italian restaurants and that means a lot.

1. PEOPLE. LaTavola people “get it” when it comes to service. The employees are seasoned, experienced and passionate about food and wine. Some restaurants employ short time people who fill a server role— not here. One of the many reasons I am a regular.
2. FOOD. Simple, authentic, elegant menu selections keep the quality level consistently high. True to Tuscan countryside cuisine as well as coastal Italian offerings, when I want to pretend I’m eating in Italy- I go to LaTavola.
3.) ATMOSPHERE. Whether you like to sit at the cozy bar, a romantic table indoors or dine al fresco on their shaded patio, they can accommodate you- no matter what mood you’re in— as long as it’s a good mood!
Bottom line: Great service, real food made simple and an atmosphere that is always inviting is what keeps me going back to this neighborhood favorite. Cheers! Keep up the good work!!

The Bolognese is absolutely phenomenal and Will is such an enjoyable/personable bartender. Makes for an overall happy food/dining experience in a relaxing atmosphere.
