consistency: the food and cooking are high quality, the service is efficient yet cordial. i especially like that the wait staff is well versed in the wine list. we have had excellent recommendations for pairing with food.

Small,intimate setting. We love eating/hanging out @ the bar no matter who is bartending. Of course the food and wine is amazing! We feel so lucky to have La Tavola as a restaurant in our neighborhood. Keep it going.
It was a cozy and lovely dining experience. Staff was attentive, food combos creative and fresh. Negative: the booth needed to be reupholstered- I felt the supports in the structure and not comfy.
It's small, attention to detail and the food was outstanding.
Outstanding, delicious, yummy. Never have eaten King Clip fish...let's make that to the regular menu.

again, la tavola is my hands down favorite italian in atlanta! i love the food there. had the special of the night, bucatini, and it was fabulous. service is also just as good as the food! always love the bar staff.
It was hard to choose from the menu, in a good way, there were so many things I wanted to try. And the service was very personable. You guys know how to run great restaurants!
Service and food were excellent. Randall our waiter even talked about the herb garden on the patio. Nice touch.

La Tavola is my favorite of the Fifth Group restaurants and I came on this visit with my best friend to use the $20 birthday reward on my loyalty card. While I am still rating the restaurant highly here my experience on this visit wasn't the best. Our server, Jimmy, was very slow! We sat for at least 10 minutes before being greeted. It was another 15 minutes before our drinks were delivered. We were seated close to the bar service area and could see our drinks waiting. In fact, the couple at the next table stopped the hostess and asked HER to deliver our drinks. They had the same server and were not pleased either. After our wine was opened and poured and our entrees arrived we didn't receive a table visit from Jimmy for at least 20 minutes! Another server stopped by and asked how things were and removed our empty plates. We also poured our wine as our server never stopped to refill our glasses, even though he walked by several times as he had the tables on either side of us. The afore mentioned couple also had the same issues. We had a while to chat as they were awaiting their check. With all that said, the food was great and La Tavola is still one of my very favorite restaurants in this city overflowing with great dining options. But bad service can really affect one's view of a place. I recommend La Tavola whenever anyone asks me for restaurant advice. i wouldnt want a first-time diner to have the service experience we had! Even with the discount we spent over $100 for 2 people. One expects better service when paying that kind of price. Maybe Jimmy is new and needs to become more in tune with good service flow or maybe he was having a bad night, I'm not sure. But it did affect our enjoyment of the evening. I do know its not a normal occurrence at La Tavola. On my previous visit we had an excellent server.
