The new apple and pistachio dessert is ridiculous. And it's always great to get to sit with Kris at the bar and have dinner.
The welcoming atmosphere, fabulous food, and knowledgeable staff make for an unbeatable experience. This last time (we've visited La Tavola often), our waiter Madeline was especially smart and pleasant to interact with, a real keeper. We do wish, as the menu is retooled, that you'd bring back the beef targaglia. Not seeing it on the menu, though it's still listed online, was a disappointment. Thanks!
The most recent visit was this past Friday (12/5). I always want more than one experience before having an opinion. I have been several times now and the food has been superb every time. I also think it is important to note that the staff is consistently welcoming and makes guests feel at home. Our server and the manager that evening were both attentive and had the appropriate personality without being over-the-top. I felt like there was great balance of professionalism and a personal approach.

Food is always awesome. A suggestion: We find that some weeks we come to La Tavola more than once, and often we are in the mood for just a glass of wine and a small appetizer or two. Would you ever consider doing appetizer portions of a couple dishes? Like a taste of 3, 4 or 5, items from the menu? We want to try various dishes, but not eat an entire entree or even half a entree. Just a bite or two of each to share. And I love all of your sides, but they don't seem to vary much, except seasonally....I would love to see something with pumpkin, or acorn squash, pomegranate, orange..maybe lighter, vegetable/fruit combinations. Our waitress was attentive and extremely efficient. She was more than up to the task of
caring for our special needs which included late arrivals on our part and confusing payment
arrangements. Also a cake we brought in caused some problems which were quickly resolved. My meal was hot,beautifully seasoned and delicious.
We look forward to returning.

I loved to Saltimbocca - it was one of the best meals I've eaten at a restaurant in a long time. The nutella gelato was also amazing; I was stuffed from dinner but could have eaten more than one bowl.

The food is delicious. Wish they offered some cow milk exceptions or educated their staff on how they could modify a dish.
